Men thought that, as women would get into the public sphere, make their own money, invest on their own careers, they would change their attitude towards men. That didn't happen. Women still behave very much like traditional women; the difference is that now they have a wide range of optionality.

My theory is that female gendered commitments and bad behaviours are very hard to study and pinpoint. They are private. The type of violence and influence women have cannot be publicly accounted for. It is hard to call women out on their gendered bullshit. And that affects women too. I know women who are being bullied, very subtly, in their workplace. It is so subtle, so covert, but also so damaging - how to deal with that?
