Yes you can run PHUL but as the comment above mentioned, your progress will be slower as a beginner.

Did you do a proper deload, make sure your form is good, look at similar exercises to make sure they were progressing, check sleep & diet? If not you need to reevaluate and keep hitting the weights. If you dont want to squat as much, reduce the leg volume and simply add more sets to what you want to emphasize. Sounds like you dont need any help since you know what you want to do.

i like being optimistic sometimes but don’t put all of your eggs in one basket. nothing is guaranteed. but be prepared if your plan doesn’t follow through with her father or your relationship deteriorates.

people usually see abs (if flexed) around <15% bf. if you play around with this (assuming your visual estimation is right - 21%bf @ 187, you should be about 174 to get to 15%. https://www.exrx.net/Calculators/WeightBodyComp

If you think thats not progress then I don’t know what progress is. You wont be able to tell if you’re losing muscle unless you’re getting your body fat levels tested. Now, I can tell you that you WILL lose some amount of muscle regardless, because you’re in a caloric deficit. Once you get to a lower body weight, you will be able to see more visual changes. All in all, as long as you are staying consistent with your dieting and weightlifting program, you will see the results you want once you ge…

thats great man, good job on the progress! since you said you’re eating in a deficit you shouldn’t be gaining fat. Losing body fat takes time and all you can do right now is trust the process. weight loss is usually a slow process depending on your deficit and getting lean doesn’t happen overnight! however one of the most important things for muscle retention and growth while dieting is to be lifting with as high of intensity you can while managing your fatigue (periodization) and getting in goo…

may I ask your starting weight before dieting and your current body weight? also do you know your current bf%? feel free to pm me.

first off, get your diet dialed in. make sure you have a well-rounded fitness program and keep hitting the gym. consistency will get you results. give it more time!

asktrp is not a medical forum, if you believe you have a problem, don’t be afraid to schedule an appointment with your physician or talk to your parents about it. are you eating healthy foods? are you getting enough dietary fat? start lifting weights, be sure to check out the fitness subreddit. good luck!

assuming volume is equated, neither. however, due to variation, there would probably a non-statistically significant difference in hypertrophy due to variation if those 20 sets were done with the same exercise.

Many people think you can, but that is wrong. In simple terms, it is just easily accessible and makes everything taste better. Here’s a good read: https://weightology.net/no-youre-not-addicted-to-sugar/

sugar is not the problem, it’s more-so excess calories, a lack of physical activity and healthy food choices.

Many people believe that there is a one-fits all model of “good posture” this is not supported by the research nor is the fact that types of “bad posture” produce pain. Posture varies among individuals and changes across the lifespan without pain. https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2018/mar/05/are-you-sitting-comfortably-the-myth-of-good-posture https://www.painscience.com/articles/structuralism.php https://simplifaster.com/articles/why-most-people-are-wrong-about-injuries-and-pain/ https:…

in terms of stuns i was talking about complete closure of epiphyseal plates without injury - but yes you have a good point.
/r/askTRP09/08/17 07:41 PM

as you said, it doesn't stunt your growth IF form is good. obviously if you break something, it will probably increase the growth plate closing time at a young age. the term "stunts" wouldn't really apply to adults, instead it would decrease recovery and increase chance of re-injury. there is simply a huge emphasis on motor learning and adaptation of the nervous system at a young age. but regardless the lesson is to: LIFT but with safety.

/r/TheRedPill22/06/17 04:49 AM

Ideally, track your calories and go on a diet (caloric deficit). You wont be able to lose it within a week but maybe a month depending what % body fat you're at. Otherwise, eat healthier foods and limit your beer intake. There is no benefit to low carb diets in comparison with low fat diets, just restrict total calories, (unless you prefer to eat no carbs - not a good idea if you're doing any training). Make sure to hit the gym. Feel free to PM if you need any help, cheers.

Jesus fucking christ.. again on this sub with nutritional bs. Gary Taubes is a load of bullshit. His book is half fictional. There is nothing wrong with sugar and everyone can consume it as they please. If something works for you that does NOT mean it will work for everyone. Calories should be your #1 focus if your goal is to get lean. http://www.stephanguyenet.com/bad-sugar-or-bad-journalism-an-expert-review-of-the-case-against-sugar/ https://youtu.be/ApKsdvGCGJw http://www.theglobeandmail.com/…

I would say find something that interests you. Look into getting some new hobbies where you can be more active (learn a martial art, start weightlifting, run track, learn how to swim, go hiking, start reading outdoors and walk in the park more often, got a bike? go cycle). Cutting video games all at once will probably not work as great as tapering the amount of hours you spend behind the screen. It should be a progressive process, similar as people do with drugs. So, instead of spending 5 hours,…

you said you want to get rid of your belly but then you say you're skinny? bruh can you give us a specific measurement using your calipers? according to the graph you provided you're eating at maintenance calories which means just enough to not lose or gain weight. if you want to lose or gain weight add or subtract 100 calories to whatever you're eating right now. slow bulking/cutting is the safest way to minimize fat gains. also keep protein at 0.8g/kg. finally, get on a legit program, since yo…

"There is evidence that the anabolic effects of a protein-rich meal last ~5 hours or so. This suggests that IF is suboptimal if the goal is to maximize muscle gains; at minimum, three square meals a day would seem to be needed" - Brad Shoenfeld as an exercise sci major, from what I understand, IF is not superior to any other diet. neither is keto, paleo, miami beach diet or whatever the fuck they have now. they will not work for everyone but if a particular diet is something you can adhere to an…

primary difference is that there is more bicep used because it is in the line of pull in the chin up. both activate lats to a similar extent because you are performing the same range of motion with the shoulders.

Separate cardio and lifting as much as possible. Don't do them on the same day. Endurance training will have negative effects on strength training if they're done while your body is still recovering. If you want to keep one, I suggest doing a high intensity interval protocol 1-2 times a week or a low intensity exercise 2-3 times a week for about 20-30 minutes such as the bike, swimming, walking, etc. Low intensity work can also be done as active recovery and can help maintain your current cardio…

as an exercise science major i approve of this post, thanks for making it! to add on, one other important aspect to keep in mind when choosing or creating a workout routine, is adherence. make sure you ENJOY your workout and make personal observations of what you enjoy/dislike about exercises that you're doing. keep going to the gym, make it your life! working out should be enjoyable and not something you have to force yourself to do. additionally feel free to also manipulate training variables …

i would advise avoiding >hb 8+ asians for LTR's on the east coast esp the "ABC's" who are younger than ~24. Most that i've pumped and dumped were druggies and had a shitton of red flags. I would agree with you that these girls also have inflated ego's from their beta asian friends. but to add on, if you're white, there isn't much left that you have to do to ONS/plate them. good luck brotha's! p.s i live in NYC metro area.
