I thank you, good sir. As I have never, to this day, viewed such media as this and shall now play it on repeat in order to fill my heart with the tears of the stupid.

Interesting. I know some basics of ‘Romeo/Juliette laws,’ but they very by state making conversations on the topic a bit too subjective to be properly complex. Though in GA I’m pretty sure being 20 is the max age of legality in specific situations

I can’t stand trump. You still pissed me off; this isn’t r/politics we’re here making fun of people getting caught/punished for doing stupid bullshit, not to complain about people who support someone you don’t like.

Whenever I tend to hear “where where these teachers when I was in school” it’s usually when related to high school years, typically middle high school years. This seems to be what dog lover was referring too when put into context (15 y/o being either late freshman/early softmore year. I don’t know anyone, personally, who ever thought “gee, I sure wish I was having sex at the age of 12.” I’m fairly certain that most people know that a 12 y/o is barely ready for the emotional baggage of something …

Legally it’s the same. Still statutory rape

“im just saying youve got to keep a clear head. if you loose it in some kind of domestic dispute.. its really easy to face the other person down, see them standing between you and the doorway to make a safe exit, and decide there is only one way out. especially when they are in the exact same situation as you are... because you forgot there was an exit behind you.” I don’t believe I ever mentioned being infuriated during a domestic dispute and I’m not aware of ever saying that just beating the h…

Yeah I never really understood this mentality. For example, an old coworker of mine is 4’11 and just so happens to be a marine. I’ve seen her break a 6’ tall guy’s arm in a bar. Someone comes after me I’m gonna do my best to knock em’ cold or gtfo.

No. You have the right to defend yourself with as much force as you deem necessary. If someone comes at me with a knife and I can’t safely remove myself from that situation I’m drawing my knife or gun and to Hell the with legal consequences afterwords.

As far as I’m aware the only US state that follows this line of thinking is New York. Keep in mind, however, that this is off the top of my head and there could be others

Yeah, I remember that. You should look up the episode Joe Rogan’s podcast he was on, it’s pretty interesting.

The problem is how the "wage-gap" is portrayed by the media. When reported on they phrase their report in such a way that they insinuate that men are paid 30c more than women per-dollar. This is what happens when you compare the overall earnings of men to women. What this fails to take into account is; time taken off for vacation, pregnancy/maternity leave, personal choice in jobs/career path, likelihood of sickness dependent on region,... the number of variables is miraculous. Hell I remember a…

Whats amusing is that (IIRC) the players on the female US Soccer team takes 13% of income whereas the male players take 9% and still make more money. Puts things into perspective

I probably should’ve realized that what you said was sarcastic but... well... internet, 2019. Know what I mean?

The correct term is (in America at least) a false police report. The accused could also, assuming this was in America as I’m not knowledgeable of the law in European countries, sure his accuser for defamation and/or libel and would likely win.

Yes, which is why such a sentence would be given for proven false accusations.

Eh; I’ve used larger phones, even borrowed my mother’s iPhone X for a bit and just didn’t like them... too cumbersome for my taste. I think I’ll stick with my iPhone se and when it dies I’ll either get another one or get a Galaxy s9. But to each their own I guess

But what if you have small hands and want to use a phone one handed?

I’d love to see her reaction to an iPhone SE, that aught to be hilarious

Tbh I agree with this, especially with college being a thing. If your girl knows that you’re in college (aka BROKE) and she still expects an expensive gift for some arbitrary holiday like Christmas that’s not the girl you want to spend your life, or even a small amount of time, with. Good on you
