Wallstreetplayboys.com is a blog that focuses on this type of advice for people in your demographic. If you have not perused that site yet, it is worth a look.

A business man's socks match his pants, a gentleman's socks match his mood.

I'm glad to hear someone else does this as well. I have been doing this for years. Eventually my son will be to big, but until then it is a great way to get something done on the days I have him.

I go to the grocery store twice a week on average, sometimes three times a week. I like to have fresh ingredients.

Describing your oneitis as "the only easy way to fix my self worth problem" really hit home for me. Thank you for that insight.

We are out here, and probably not as rare as most people think.

I have heard it phrased as "Don't dip your pen in the company ink".

I never thought about this phenomena as a contributor to degree inflation before. Thank you for this insight.

I understand your point about the description of the sub. However, all of these phenomena are interrelated and merit at least one discussion thread. Leaving is a bit of an overreaction in my opinion.

For me, four weeks of stubble is a starter lumberjack beard, and a bit too much.

I my experience, the fact that I have a young son is the only thing that kept me going though the worst times.

I am in a situation very similar to the one you describe. I think that reading TRP has helped me, and my ex now respects me more. I also think that as you internalize TRP philosophy you will naturally start to carry yourself differently and become a better advocate for yourself and your daughter. However, do not "try out" any recently learned "material" on your ex. The risks are too great.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
