If I leave the country do I need to pay alimony still? Please think about this hard before you do it. Do you have any family members you'd miss? Also, you will be giving up certain comforts the US provides. If you are set on doing this, I advise living in that country for a few months and stop only when you have safely moved away. Make sure you do not stop paying for alimony until then so you have a clean record. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/07/22 05:11 PM

Making yourself happyI love it. Keep at it and genuinely seek to change for the better. You will never regret being kind to yourself and bettering yourself. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/06/21 03:23 AM
Making yourself happyDo you love yourself? Can you look yourself in the mirror and say "I love myself". If you can't, learn. Your absolute source of happiness should not be attached to someone else. Be your biggest best friend. It's not easy to learn to love yourself, esp after so many bad habits of self loathing and negativity, but if you truly want to be happy then do the hardwork and change your narrative about yourself. Best of luck. It is never too late to be happy if that is truly what you want. Take care. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/06/21 12:30 AM
Spousal / Child support Re-evaluated every year.If it's a significant increase I believe she can take you back to court. Taking second job I assume will be a significant increase. They do however calculate it with a standard formula, but don't quote me on this because I'm unsure about CA divorce. Goodluck OP | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/06/21 12:26 AM
Manipulative wife. Now what?OP you are not responsible for your wife's feelings. We are all accountable for whatever shit happens, but you are never responsible for other people's emotions. They need to take ownership of their own feelings and emotions. Don't live life in someone else's expectations/shadow. Don't lose sight of what you want or need for yourself just because you feel bad. That's how people stay unhappy. Liberate yourself. Life is way too damn short for all these stop and go. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/06/21 12:19 AM
Going through a divorce with my abusive soon to be ex-wife, looking for advise.Choose wisely. I feel like most lawyers are crooks. We went through several lawyers before finally settling with the best one. My advice is go with a law firm with a good reputation even if its expensive. Itll save u a lot of heartache later even if its heavy in the pockets. Better it be heavy now than for all eternity because your case got messed up. From experience, the more expensive the lawyer the better they are. U get what u pay for unfortunately. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/06/21 12:14 AM
Bad nightsThat's the spirit! Remember, it's ok to break down sometimes. We are all human, we all have flaws, we all have problems, some just hide it better than others. Keep going. Use that energy to keep going. Take care OP! Never ever let a bad situation ever take a hold of your life. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/05/21 12:13 AM
Bad nightsFirst of all I want to sympathize with what you are going through. It must be really hard having lost so many people all around the same time. Having your personal life paraded around to close friends and family when you are already falling apart only makes it worse and not easy. I can only imagine what you are going through. To feel like you just want to "end it all" sounds like you've been hitting the wall mentally these past few days/weeks/months. I am sure you are not alone, but "ending it a… | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/05/21 02:54 PM
A letter to all divorced menAs long as you keep moving forward and striving for better, there is nothing wrong with however long it takes. There will be days you feel fine and there will be days you feel like shit, but take the higher path that will make you happy. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/05/21 03:25 AM
A letter to all divorced menThough I cannot attest to all of what you said just from the lack of knowledge, I do agree that there is an absolute rise in feminism. Some reasons for good and some for bad, although it was suppose to be for good. I do worry about the future generations of men as I feel society continuous to diminish them. There are a lot of things in the world that are changing, but I do hope one of them would be justice and equal treatment in court for divorced men. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/05/21 02:53 PM
A letter to all divorced menI know... it is heartbreaking.... so please, men, take care of yourselves. It is known as well that women live longer than men. It's hard not to notice why | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/05/21 02:13 PM
A letter to all divorced menHang in there. Whatever you are going through, know that it is only for a moment in time. This is not to minimize your situation but to help empower you to keep chipping away at it. You are very capable of re-establishing your life again once the storm has passed. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/05/21 01:10 PM
A letter to all divorced menIt really is sad how unjust the court system is to men.... but how do one go about changing that old system? I feel like you'd need to replace everyone | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/05/21 01:05 PM
A letter to all divorced menI know. Something needs to seriously change. The court system is so flawed. It really angers me the way they treat the majority of men as if they are all dead beats, when even a lawyer herself states that the majority of men give up due to so much pain, alienation, gas lighting just to name a few from the other side. It's almost as if they don't deserve to be happy... women want equality. They need to be viewed as equal in court. And lies told to gain an upper hand needs to have consequences. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/05/21 01:03 PM
