I’m just thinking outside the box, it doesn’t have to be warfare lol. I mean a bit humorously but who says it can’t be done. It will have you justify how you spend your life. You might also get your Will done while you’re at it.

Sign your tax returns, budget for next year, sign the marriage paperwork —most of it should automatically carry over. You can also do nothing and the marriage expires.

Great post nuptial idea! Every January 1st , make a new agreement. Women call this “ renewal of vows “. Men should do it too—it’s the same thing. Genuinely make it romantic! 🥰

? I say this with all due respect and courtesy. Why are you so eager or prepared to sacrifice yourself? What’s with this strong self destruction instinct? She won’t do what? I beg your pardon? Anything she does not do to you — count yourself lucky. You learn slowly, you have to know this about yourself. Get a lawyer and let her handle the rest. Please don’t give the lawyer your opinion because you are a danger to yourself at this point.

See a lawyer, interview 2-3. Hire one (suggest female aggressive lawyer). See an “asset protection” accountant or /estate planner (they will help you make sure your kids get some of your assets maybe form trusts etc). Set up camera in a room and inside and outside the house and lock that room that only you use. See a therapist for yourself and hire one. Hire a private investigator that knows the laws in your area (low yield and only if you want to do this). Finally STFU. 🤬 act as if everything i…

I might add be prepared to defend yourself if the opposing lawyer pushes the idea that you were trying to game the system. Put aside extra money to defend this argument. The burden on men is enormous—just don’t think it’s a slam dunk. The majority of reason for most marriage breakups is financial —someone wants to get paid.

You betrayed your self again. A second time. You’re supposed to feel shitty. Stop running away from the consequences. It’s only by paying the price, by allowing space to face the consequences of your behavior over the last 20 years that you will start to value yourself. If at all, this might be your last chance to be in a loving relationship with you.

Exposing a narcissist does wonders. You would have to do it as “if this.. then that..” if she accuses you of doing something that involves anyone, for example, you send the message to that individual and copy her. If she get violent, you keep the evidence and report it to the authorities. Otherwise you act like she does not exist. Because they don’t have a stable core, what you have is a made up person. No real person. They actually don’t exist the same way normal people exist as stable humans.

This is a profound observation, well written. There is a lot to unpack especially teaching yourself that your emotions are good, natural and are there to protect you. Great post. Remind me to book a vasectomy by linking this post anytime you come across this. She blew up a sixteen year marriage after torturing me for years hoping I would leave. In the end I had to part with 65% of my assets at the age of 50 years. I’ll be paying child support 3-6 k per month until the last child turns 18 and by then I’ll be retired. I can’t go no contact. I still don’t understand how many women are so sweetly Machiavellian by nature but men on the other hand, their husbands, boyfriends are frequently deeply flawed by romantic ideals. Anyhow, congratulations—A second chance of life. Don’t miss it.

100% agreement. The poor guy is being emotionally and psychologically fucked. In addition to your suggestion I would suggest he join a strong group such as men’s group or strict religious order or serious hobby group- something to give him some stability of mind. All he has to do is brace himself for the hurricane 🌀. Flip the script dude, you are rejecting her now. She did you a favor and if she came back, run for your life.

I have not even thought of doing it and it sounds like a bad idea. The other fellow is correct, hire a lawyer because the judgement you are likely to receive is not what might make logical sense. A lot in family court is at the discretion of the court in order words there is strong hold of “how we do things” that holds sway rather than legal arguments. Your suit can be used to further evidence against you. You might be up for her lawyer fees and further penalties. I would be very careful; dare I…

I will take the opposite view. I will absolutely“force it” — if that’s what it is called when you see your own child. Let them deal with it. If you force them to see you it will not be pretty. You will learn a lot and I bet they will too. If you have the time, energy and spirit, that’s the way to do it. To answer your question directly anyway. You see, one can incentivize vs disincentivize, and the thing about incentives is that they can reveal other factors at play such as other players, programs , competing needs, or wants or compulsions or lack of them. This is not a necessarily moral judgment, assessment, or a correction that I would personally recommend, for one to get involved in, I just anticipate that it will give a widely different result. One cannot list all the caveats and in all ear…

Men are being scammed 24.7. . Let’s remember, men are not naturally the ones more inclined to be doing laundry, driving with children, cooking, and bathing. We much rather be out there in nature or the world but we do it as a sacrifice. If it weren’t for the constant lying and scamming no man would marry a woman regardless of her reasons for blowing up his life later on. ASK women to start paying lifetime alimony and you won’t believe how much they want to STAY married. 100% success rate.

First of all, stop complaining, stop trying — go silent cold turkey. See a female lawyer, an financial asset protection advisor and a female therapist. Hire the theee of them. Do not cheat. It sets the tone for you and your lawyer, and it’s a psychological upperhand. You’ll be the one to first ask for documents and therefore to decide how far you go. I was asked for every monthly statement of all my bank accounts since the beginning of the marriage however, it’s up to you if you want to go that far. Needless to say it’s made for a very contentious divorce and I hesitated and wasn’t the first one to file. When you file for divorce first, you would’ve made sure that you have your doc…

Sell ASAP…make sure the proceeds go into an escrow account. but what’s more important is that you file first. Interview the best 3 lawyers in your county so she can’t use them due to “conflict of interest”. Then pick one, preferably a young female lawyer but male if he is really good. Speed through it all, don’t fight unnecessarily…at the end of the day she is doing you a favor—a second chance at life.

Mine said she was unhappy, turns out she meant “with me”. Yet NOTHING I did or corrected made any difference. The things she was not happy about was like me not being a morning person, like me sounding tired on the phone after a four day weekend of taking care of the children while she is at a ‘conference’. Like me not choosing the ‘right clothing’ etc. MEANWHILE we go 6 months without sex but daily YELLING.

16 years of marriage here. Paid for her MEDICAL SCHOOL, supported her throughout with a limitless access to my accounts. Supported her financially through another 4 years of RESIDENCY. Modern women are abusive. The only way to have them not abuse you is to have the spotlight on them 24/7 and have your foot on their neck. Set your boundaries and let them know you have an open door policy, where they can come to you with anything and they can walk through that door as well and never come back. Rewards and Punishments are how all animals are trained. If they are not trained by one person/system, they will be trained by another person/system. Women don’t divorce due to “ a change “. Women who are toxic / cluster B are intentional and plan to 1) extract resources and energy 2) confuse and fog their prey 3) discard or destroy (more likely) the victim in the WORST possible way. This is usually after you purchase a new home, have a child together, renew your wedding vows, right after she gets a new job, a new promotion or a new boyfriend (from your circle of friends).

Be careful demanding respect, I think you passed that signpost years ago. Start looking for the next exit off the ramp. I think that will send her the strongest message. However you must REALLY plan to follow through, or she will be the first to know you do not have it in you to pull the plug and then the cycle continues. Don’t do it to send her a message or teach her a lesson or make her regret it. Do it because you want to live. Women in relationships who do any of the above CAN really do you …

Rule number 2: stop expecting the worst and call the 3 best lawyers in town, so she can’t use them ever, and interview them to know the damage.

Hilarious. Tom Brady’s wife left him, so what is he going to do? Find out if she is pregnant, 30 months, or maybe she was pre menstrual or depressed enough —to fuck her trainer? Or maybe instead she is she toxic (bright idea I know). Husbands that hit their women, perhaps it’s hormonal? Or does it only apply to females? What will you tell the judge—I was pregnant and poisoned his beer and made a false allegation that put that man in jail? Once again REGARDLESS of the diagnosis, toxicity is a spe…

Everything you do expires after 24 hours. You gotta do it all over again, only bigger this time! I paid mine through medical school. Now that’s something. I choose to go the superior route.

I know how you feel. I have ADHD and mild Autism (Asperger’s ). I hurt when they cry, yet I’m told I have no emotions. I even cry more when I am alone, (I have been diagnosed with depression and pituitary insufficiency obviously as a result of enduring stress) yet nevertheless I am told that they need a separation, like hmm now! I have serious sensory overload most of the day, I have synesthesia, migraines, difficulty translating my emotions to words, difficulty concentrating even though I am in…

If someone (esp woman) ever cheats on you, the relationship is in the past. Fill out the necessary papers without fuss.

She is a narcissist. I have a feeling you’re going to be in for a treat—you’ve been warned.

I have looked at reality in the face. I have seen the devil and I am unbowed. I will not flinch or back off. I will absolutely move on.

Do not go to therapy with a narcissist. Go alone!

OP states: “I was having coffee with a couple of women friends of mine in the 30s and 40s” What! Please stop doing this! What is this about? Hey man, are you a girl? Or perhaps you are a tutor or a coach. I am doing my best to be civil right now. “we were talking about relationships and what we look for.” BRAh!

OP How much does she make (or how much more did you make more than her if it less than yours), do give us an idea please. How long do you have to pay spousal support, and did she work during the marriage? How long was the disaster of a marriage arrangement?

Rubbish! Yes I am married and gladly so but I will tell you, never ever let your guard down. Do not entertain the idea that “most women aren’t feminists”, this is a lie. You are valuable and never allow yourself to be a pawn for abuse and predation. Whatever you allow people to do to you, will happen to you in the realm of human affairs and as humans go, men may be untrustworthy but women are notoriously heartless. Someone once said, the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

When in person be a perfect gentleman to her, this practice will help you, not the least in making many level headed decisions. Fight only in the court. Do not make any compromises. Fight like a dog until she is begging to sign them papers.

When in person please be a perfect gentleman to her, this practice will help you, not the least in making many level headed decisions. However, on the legal side, pull out all the stops. Do not make any compromises. She is a giant ass hole although she thinks not.

You are not meeting enough men in relaxed social situations. You are (obviously) not happy. You are waiting to be contacted. So start meeting more people in public and social situations, get invited to get togethers and formal meetups. Initiate friendship. Be happy and enjoy your life. Whether the clock ticks or not, as long as you are doing your best, to God leave the rest. Take care of your looks, go to gym, avoid excessive makeup like plague or do not use makeup. Walk tall and be confident. S…

Cancel the wedding, try to maintain a good relationship and consult a lawyer. A lot of people underestimate the destruction abuse renders to one’s psyche. There should be zero tolerance for this.

You must get 50/50 child support. Like others have said, if you compromise even 1% it will be misinterpreted and be weaponized. Many persons make the mistake of impugning moral judgement to your actions or inactions but that is totally irrelevant. Who cares? Whether or not you spend 50% of the time with your child is not the same as getting the legal 50% custody. You will thank me later, in fact take it a step further. Ask the child’s mother to “move in with you” in writing. Leave it up to her t…

@LonleyNC123 you sound upset at other men’s well articulated opinions, probably not your intention. I don’t know the answer, look I don’t know why men are hated in this country.

He doesn’t drink, you get kinky and do his bidding. He drinks you disappear, and go on a trip. Remember it is better to apologize than to cry or beg. Do not flinch, and do the above, he can respect that.
