Father got Alzheimer's disease and mother split. Your business collapsed and your wife split. Hope brother's spouse / GF is more supportive. But personally I share shitty streak of luck with you. I had a streak of low grade bad luck all throughout my life, so much so, that my friends started calling me unlucky. I tried observing myself to see if I am doing something wrong. All I could do is be zen & buddhist about it and try to observe and some cases predict and anticipate the next one. One thin…

It is called cucking by the system. 100 years ago punching the guy, and not rewarding the wayward woman with half of your shit was standard.

She is grown adult and not your responsibility to guide and teach the right from wrongs. Give up control, and let her make their own bed, and live with the consequences. Trust me, it's liberating.

I am in the same boat, on the positive side, got 2 well adjusted kids, but I led a traumatic life. The only downside is the financial loss and possibility of being alone from here on out.

Seriously this is the new civil rights fight. I am shocked that half of the powerful elites be it in entertainment or in tech sector have gone through the abuse, still nothing gets done to rectify it.

No 2 is chicken/egg situation. Intent comes first, manifestation happens, closeness with divorced friends come later to gather necessary info and helping line ducks in a row. Pre divorce they are helpful for planning, post divorce they are needed for support. Women are better planner than men, that's a fact.

Thanks for the excerpt. Was it a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or some other variant. Can you specify how to narrow down on a good therapist.

Once you get the illusion that yours is a special case out of the way, you realize that women are afflicted with a natural curse of being perpetually unhappy. While men have the superpower to be happy with less.

I did leave the house. I had to move to an apartment. I reconciled and moved back in within 6 months. Yet after 6 months I retained the apartment for another 6 months and used to come and live there during office hours(remote) for recharging and some peace of mind. I felt very productive and efficient when I lived alone. I think I got 1 year worth of personal and office work done in 6 months. Of course I did not have the mental anguish of being separated from the children. So if you are facing s…

I had the same thoughts like you and I lived away for 6+months. I love my kids dearly and initially thought I was going to die. To much of my surprise, I adjusted so well to being alone, it scared and surprised me. The free time I got unlocked so many potential that I started to miss when I eventually went back. The best I can describe is I felt like a tiger who was raised in the security of a zoo, who felt scared initially when it was released in the wild, but quickly adapted to the jungle when…

Women live their life on fiction aisle. Every older generation knew the basic fact that you never open your heart to your woman, but keep her guessing. Some call it being mysterious. In fact what it is, is giving her material to author her life with whatever literature she chooses. Newer generation don't get it. They pour their heart out to their spouse or girlfriend, thereby ending her potential to color her life canvas with her choice of fiction, thus ending her interest in the relationship.

Women treat men like men treat jobs. How often do you think about your ex-employer?

Pro Tip: Don't badmouth the wife. Short term it helps helps you bond with him, but long term you have shown your negative side..

I have debated the same for length. I am mentally at peace and ready to die alone (worst case), and my kids are teens, and fond of me. I am ready to live alone and fight the pangs of loneliness, enjoy life...

It seems counterintuitive but will seem obvious in hindsight. She will only string you along till you are distant and claim some independence. The moment you are all in & declare your undying love to her, that means mission level complete and she has no use for you. Don't be all there with her, miss a few calls, hangout with friends, and entertain some female attention (real or fake, in front of her) and she'll be on you like fly on honey.

I am currently doing just that. Kids in high school, and I don't want to fuck up their future by ruining their college potential.

Just to be clear, the only angle is to set my kids up with college fund and a home to live in and isolate them financially from her eventual bad decisions...

Looks like you are doing things with expectations. The result is never as you would hope. Try to be more zen, get into buddhism, detachment etc. You need to shift your mindset from resentment to gratitude for whatever scrap you get from your kids. I can tell you from experience, consistent check in with the kids give them a sense of safety and they will be grateful to you for it, maybe in near future, maybe after your'e gone. It's just biological. The key is consistency...

Of course when you employ their services, they'd take care of pre-nup. They'd have a battery of their own lawyers, and also you'd be required to report any fights with them like any pre-existing conditions. They would provide marriage counseling as a preventative care.

A silicon valley type A person should get on this lucrative business idea. The value proposition should be to make it economically destructive for women to get divorced, kinda like antidote to the cancerous divorce attorney industry cancer.

Yup, it did, especially after the advent of iPhone in 2006 and Social Media soon after. People say social media changed people. I feel they just enabled the inner demons that has existed since forever. It enabled the women to shop around their sexuality from the local mom-&-pop shop to a global amazon-like marketplace. Humankind will adapt, but we are living in the wild wild west phase of the social interaction period. IMHO Gen-Z is already better adapted than millennials.

My man, if you are over 40 you don't need any friends. You need hobbies, and if you make friends keeping busy, well and good.

This is what nature has deemed it to be. Otherwise you'd think all the fallen powerful men (Donald Trump, Johnny Depp, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Clipper's owner etc) would have some sympathy towards championing or redressing the domestic law asymmetry at the highest level.

Just completed the sixth season of Peaky Blinders. Thomas Shelby, having suffered the loss of family members also suffers with PTSD and high stress, contemplates ending his life. However, when he attempts to do so, he discovers that the bullets have been removed from his pistol. His wife enters the scene, criticizing him with a hefty dose of self-centeredness, and tosses the bullets at him, urging him to complete the act. I was astonished by her tendency to victimize herself in the face of Tommy…

What should a guy do who is still in phase 1 ie "I love you but I am not in love with you" phase. Wearing a bodycam would be weird.

This is from a standard template. My friend had the exact same accusations. Can we have the itemized proactive defense for each one for future generation of men?

Worth a try, woman are way smarter in this shit, while men are too overconfident of their smartness. In all likelihood, he'll get caught..

Do it, as long as you are in control of the emotions and she is in the "feels". If you are really missing her presence then you will be played, it's a no then.

Women are comparatively more emotionally evolved than men, as men are more logically evolved. There's a reason men are traditionally stoic. If they let women read their emotions, they will play you like a drum. Expect your sbtx to casually hit your weak points to get you to react. If you react, you lose.

Different age group cope differently. You want reassurance from your kids, that at least they love you. Whereas it has been equally traumatic for your kids, and they try to block it out to cope. Be more empathetic to them. You are here to comfort them, and not the other way around..

Approach it dispassionately without attachment to her. If you feel love for her, you can 100% change her mind. For a woman No never means No, it just means convince me. Look up Geoffrey Setiawan on youtube. I followed his advice and reversed a no contact divorce filing to reconciliation, I just said what she wanted to hear. If you want to rekindle love, the right way is to be more attuned to her feelings. Alternatively a more redpill way is to demonstrate (in action, and not in words), to her th…

I know many in custody battle would kill to be in your position. You will likely get full custody of your kids, and ungrateful harpy who doesn't love you be out of your life. It's a win win for you, if you look at it from correct angle.
