This is actual sexism. You cannot generalize an entire population of people based on the actions of some. This is something I'd expect to see on r/braincels

Shes a horrible person, but at the same time I just cant support someone losing their job over what they do on their own personal twitter account off of company time. Regardless of the content of the tweet.

It's a parody account, come on man.

I'm not totally sure, honestly, while there's definitely a few elements of an echo chamber for this sub, I don't think anyone would be banned or removed for having a different opinion. IMO r/MensLib is a much better subreddit for actually making progress, but I don't think r/MensRights is to the point where people get banned for wrongthink, hopefully it won't get there, but I won't be surprised if it does.

I get what you mean, turn the tables on them, show them what they're doing. And that would work if they had self awareness, but they dont. All they see is "you vs me" and if we stoop to their levels, all they'll say is "Look at these MRAs, they have to use fake statistics just to make their point, stupid incels" they dont see reason, they see "it's okay when we do it"

We shouldn't use their own standards, their standards are hypocrisy and sexism. We're better than that. We should stick to our own policies, ones that are better than theirs. "They did it so we can too" is what takes us down that same path they're on.

So it's the same unreliable garbage?

Source? For all we know this could be as bullshit as the 1/4 statistic

This statistic is as true as the 1 in 5 statistic. While yes, around 21 men do kill themselves every week, it is impossible to know the reason for many of them, even if some did have child access issues at the time. If you're genuinely trying to help, look into information before you post it.

Maintain our values, always, whatever we do, if we lose sight of our goal we've already lost.

I'd help her just like I'd help anyone, regardless of race, sexuality, or gender. I see where your coming from, but think about the attitude you have. "I'm not going to help x until x helps me." I get it, these people hate us, they think we're selfish and sexist. But if you don't help this hypothetical woman because she's a woman, regardless of your other reasons listed, you become exactly what they think you are. The way I see it we should help anyone and everyone, no matter what they've done t…

If that looking makes the other person uncomfortable I think its perfectly reasonable to ask them to stop. I cant rationalize thinking it's okay to deliberately make another person uncomfortable, and get upset when they ask you stop.

I think we have different ideas of look for this context, do you mean look as in a quick glance or look as in essentially staring someone down

The point of a comment is to be seen, that is it's entire defining purpose. The point of someone wearing CLOTHING is to keep themselves CLOTHED. Even if said clothing is skimpy, that in and of itself is not at all asking to be viewed. When you post a comment you are saying "Yes I know this comment's entire existence is to communicate, it's entire purpose is to be seen" When someone wears clothes, even skimpy clothes, they are not making that same statement. Your parallel is about as straight as …

What? This is quite possibly the most retarded analogy I've ever seen.

The way I see it it doesn't really matter, if someone doesn't want you eyeing them up, you probably shouldn't. Regardless of who they are or why. ETA - This kind of thinking is what people hate about the entire Men's Rights Movement. They think we're all misogynists who just want to perv on women, and this comment is giving them exactly what they want.

I must be oblivious, but I'm not catching the problem, can someone point it out please?

You're missing my point completely.

You are praising someone for their gender, something out of their control, positive sexism is still sexism.

I don't take issue with that, I take issue with you saying that "You are wonderful BECAUSE you are a man" this is how superiority and sexist ideals begin.
/r/MensRights16/01/19 03:18 AM

You never said superior, yes, but the idea that being a man is wonderful just because you are a man is what leads to the superiority idea. You are wonderful because you are a human being, not because you are a man, and not because you are a woman.

No one is special for their genitalia, this is the exact type of thinking that leads to superiority and sexism

I could be oblivious here, but I don't see the sexism present, I think she's stupid, but I don't see the sexism.

As far as I'm concerned, if you knowingly falsely accuse someone of any crime you should be given the exact same punishment they would have gotten
/r/MensRights24/09/18 12:53 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
