This is what I needed. I've made a lot of progress since beginning, but I've stalled out a little bit after a recent move. In reflection, sex just hasn't been there. Everything else stayed, but I haven't exercised my game or pulled anything in a while. I'll be playing the field this weekend.

As someone who studied psychology and originally considered going into counseling, I support your decision. At the end of the day, any sort of coach (life, career, personal trainer, anything) is better than a counselor. Coaches care about improving you; counselors want to talk about your problems. Which do you think is more beneficial to a male? Which do you think is more beneficial to a female?

To be fair, I didn't answer that part of your question. Pair-bonding is going to be a case-by-case basis. I have a pairs cooking class, a rock-climbing gym, a couple state parks, and quite a few diners I use. That covers pretty much all my bases. Occasionally, I'll throw in a play and a nice dinner, but that's usually because I should attend for networking purposes and need an arm piece. You'll have to figure out what works for you, just make sure it is separate from your sanctuary.

You don't bring a girl into all this. Girls are something aside from self-improvement. I will accept the caveat that improving game is intertwined with self-improvement, but for the most part you want to keep girls and your life in separate baskets. You can do a billion things with girls. If she's a hard core redneck and you think going shooting is a good date idea, that's fine, BUT you need to understand that shooting as a means of self-improvement and shooting as a means of game are totally di…

I'm not kidding when I say I finished that book less than two full days ago. It was a phenomenal read. Yes, apparent sincerity is key. Like I said, I try to pick something I like, then compliment that. This helps a lot.

I don't know about this. This is my first ever post (been lurking for months), so I may get eaten, but life happens. I compliment people on a regular basis. Charm is part of my M.O. A while ago I took a Leadership & Motivation class and it listed Woo (Winning Others Over) as one of my best strengths and my default leadership status as an Ingratiating. I give compliments/use charm on a regular basis because it builds my ability to influence those around me. For example, I will pick out one thing …

Perhaps I was misinformed. My good friend to me this. Since he is my fitness guru, I tend to believe him without vetting his info. The deadlift seems to come heavily recommended, but I haven't been able to find a scholarly article on it and muscle mass. Will get back to you.

Deadlifts are terrible for trying to gain weight. They destroy your muscles without really adding anything to your from or size. Find an alternative if you want to gain.

No. Some people need to be told the same thing in multiple ways in order for them to understand. I can see my time was wasted.

There is a disconnect. Your current personality isn't fit for the bar. It's difficult to go outside of our comfort zones. You're not going to succeed if you don't try.

I suggest looking up the definition of "sapiosexual." It might not 100% describe you, but it will bring to light that what you described is normal. I think of it as the hope for the impossible ideal. Perhaps, we are naïve. Edit: forgot a word

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
