| 1 | Women here constantly respond to every complaint by men with some variation of “women don’t owe you sex” or “sorry you can’t get your dick wet” and basically imply that sex is all that men want from women. This is obviously false and used to once again diminish our struggles. That's totally fair! I was about to say maybe you're just nicer than I am, but thinking back, whenever I had a "boring first date" they were the ones who ghosted me, so probably they just thought I was too intense and open book on a first date for them. In which case... good, we would be a poor match and it kind of works out for the best for both of us anyway. u/Mobrowncheeks - have you ever seen the youtube video "People Watching #1 - Why Speed Dating Is Terrible"? In my own experience, I've known whether this is someone I want to continue to get to know or not already by the 1st date, based on the quality of our conversations. I'm certainly open to hearing from other people who've had different experiences than I have, or maybe I've just had uniquely intense (or boring) first dates. But to me, first 3 dates sounds like a very long time to go without discussing deep topics. That's 1st date material, imo. O… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/05/22 10:22 PM |

I do agree that a relationship has to be mutually beneficial for both people, i.e., both people "bringing something to the table", otherwise, why date anyone? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/05/22 10:15 PM |

By that point you should definitely have discussed your interests and views and future goals and desires and seen what matches up and what doesn't. If the other person makes you laugh, makes you ask questions, or annoys or bores you. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/05/22 10:11 PM |
| 3 | The trope that men only care about looks is a reflection of the gynocentric society we live inOh neat, yeah, I'm more in the second group I mentioned. Usually I date broke dudes who are working on saving the world or their own cool personal passion projects. We date because we like each other's personality and looks, but they see me being able to spring for most of the dates and having my own place as being good bonuses while they're working on important (but low-paying) things, and I get to geek out with them about their art or activism and get access to a different type of world from m… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/05/22 09:22 PM |
| 7 | The trope that men only care about looks is a reflection of the gynocentric society we live inI can only give my experience from running in slightly geekier circles, but men definitely like professionally successful and smart women in our neck of the woods. Either he's also an engineer/manager/lawyer or whatever, and the two of them are similar in salary and often even the same type of work, forming a power couple. Or he's an artist/works in some kind of game shop/PhD student and he's pretty grateful to have a partner who can carry the financial burden while they're working . | 2 | Should men really care that much about "slut shaming"?They're both shitty. Unless you're entering a relationship with someone, and you have a personal preference for whatever reason, it doesn't matter at all what their experience or lack thereof is. And even then - be kind. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/05/22 02:28 AM |
| 0 | Q4W: Where would you go if you *wanted* to be approached by guys (and didn't drink)?Go and do whatever the heck I felt like doing anyway, and then chat with whatever people seemed open to chat regardless of age or gender or looks. The more you gel with someone, the more conversation flows, less interesting connections wither away naturally. Most of the time you just end up with a good conversation, but sometimes you get an acquaintance/friend out of it, and maybe developing to a partner. Note, this isn't to be taken as advice to socially awkward males (although if you take the … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/05/22 01:21 AM |
| 1 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadIf I'm sleeping with a guy (or anyone), I'm already emotionally invested enough that I don't really care whether the first time or first dozen times are good. Also I'm just going to be excited to be having sex with someone I like. If it's been months and there's no "improvement" (and it's less improvement and more matching each other's desires and styles, which is a two-way street), then that shows deeper issues in the relationship like communication or a fundamental incompatibility. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/05/22 03:18 PM |
| 1 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadRelationships are best when you and your partner are giving and receiving in, not necessarily perfectly equal since it's not a transaction, but on similar wavelengths. It feels good to receive love, but it feels even better to give love to someone you're partnered with. I honestly didn't understand the gift-giving one until I dated a girl, years ago, and the first year for Christmas I bought her like $30 worth of trinkets related to her interests and wrapped them up nicely, and she had a pile of… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/05/22 03:09 PM |
