I would much prefer the baby just be aborted if they don't want it, yes. Unless the adoption was planned before conception, sometimes people need to adopt

You honestly don't see the difference between an abortion and signing away parental rights? How about the fact that after one of those, there's still a child that needs to be housed, fed, and educated, while after the other one, there's no such thing. (And of course rape/coercion should be an exception). A woman's choice to not have a child (after sex has occurred) vs A mans choice to not have a child (after sex has occurred) have different impacts on the life of a third party
