This obviously didn't happen. You're 12 according to your post history. You didn't send another 12 year old girl to jail for "assault" because she pushed you in school. That shit doesn't happen, ever. Police don't send CHILDREN to jail for a playground scuffle. This story is a lie on every level. No girl asked you out. If you're going to bullshit on Reddit then learn to write a decent story. The "creepy woman" character in your story does not act like a human being -- not even remotely. "HE'S A …

I read the article. It wasn’t very good. It wasn’t organised very well and the point seemed confused. So it’s possible that it was rejected for that reason, although more likely that it’s because it mentioned men’s wellbeing.

That’s only true if you assume that being trans is just as normal as being normal. Which it isn’t. The forty percent suicide rate, high comorbidity of mental illness, and correlation with childhood trauma and abuse tells you so. It isn’t an okay, neutral, healthy state of being. It’s related to deep mental disturbance, statistically, even in trans positive countries. Any equivalence between being trans and being normal is unfair. It’s the same as the Disassociative Identity Disorder epidemic of …

Right but how do you know that the present popularity of transgenderism is only because we’re accepting something that was already there? What if the increase in people self reporting as trans is because of the trend? There have been trans throughout history but not with this frequency. So how do you know you have the causation the right way round
/r/MensRights22/01/19 09:08 PM

How do you know you’ve got the causation the right way round? How do you know that it’s not the popularisation of transgenderism as a trend based on radical leftist ideology that’s caused its increase in prevalence?

Yes. But that proves nothing. Neuroplasticity causes your brain to change according to what you learn, how you act, etc. Depressed people also have different brains, even if they're depressed by their environment, e.g. a death in the family, because your environment, mood and behaviour changes your brain. So if I shut myself in the house for a year, eat like shit, etc, cause myself to develop clinical depression, I will show brain changes associated with depression. If I act like a woman for a f…

/r/MensRights22/01/19 04:05 PM

Not convinced, then. It’s rare to find somebody who really wants to listen to you. To pass up on that opportunity by not providing evidence for your views doesn’t seem wise to me.

Can you show me some examples of this "online outrage culture" in MRM? I wouldn't be surprised if you're right. I'm a big supporter of men's rights but people, in general, are corrupt, dishonest and unreasonable. So I find it very plausible that this movement is corrupt too, since almost every movement is. That's why I'm open to listening to you.

I think it was a company called planet fitness. They put up ads featuring fit girls in swimsuits asking if people were “beach body ready”. A bunch of fat embittered women kicked up a fuss, leading London to ban all “body shaming adverts”.
/r/MensRights22/01/19 09:25 AM

I think she’d be taken very seriously. Feminism is a social norm. It’s many people’s standard for moral virtue, sadly. Society takes women’s concerns insanely seriously. Remember the beach body ads, for instance?

Nobody wants to hear women’s complaints about men’s behaviour? A lot of people wanted to hear that Gillette ad. Which was made by a woman. A lot of people listened to #metoo. A lot of people listen to any accusation of sexual misbehaviour a woman makes, causing lost jobs and ruined lives. Sexual misconduct was never even the point of the Gillette ad. Trans kids don’t exist. Transgenderism is a cultural/social phenomenon. Deconstructing gender norms has become a popular political stance. At the same time we have an epidemic of people, mainly radically left wing young adults, being “born in the wrong body”. Startling coincidence, isn’t it? Trans kids do not exist. Only confused kids whose motivated parents implanted an identity crisis to prove a point.
/r/MensRights22/01/19 08:29 AM
5

Strangely enough that 10% also happens to be radically left wing. Almost like they’re connected lol
/r/MensRights22/01/19 08:27 AM
4

I have. I decided that transgenderism is a cultural and social phenomenon. That helps to explain why some 10% of students at my university are trans or gender non binary. Unless you’re naive enough to believe that massive amounts of people are just accidentally being born in the wrong body for no reason.
/r/MensRights22/01/19 08:26 AM
4

If you’re referring to that bullshit where they found that trans brains sometimes look like the opposite sex, that proves nothing. Neuroplasticity means that our brains change according to what we do and how we act. So a man who chooses to act in an exceedingly effeminate manner will have a more feminine brain.

/r/MensRights22/01/19 08:20 AM
7

What makes you so sure that trans kids exist? We weren’t having an epidemic of people “born in the wrong body” until recently. Transgenderism is a cultural and social phenomenon. It doesn’t just happen. There are no trans kids. Only motivated parents implanting an identity crisis into their child.

Agree. There is an incentive, as u/j_st0rm said, but the incentive has gotten worse (women are less reliable, loving, patient than they used to be), while the cons have grown (female liberation + gynocentric legal system means women can cheat and betray without consequence and easily send you to jail if you piss them off).
/r/MGTOW231/07/18 10:02 PM

Bear in mind that there's really zero unity among MGTOW guys, as you might expect. We've reached similar conclusions -- that relationships are not worth it -- but often for different reasons, with different histories, and different kinds of emotional baggage. You can learn a few things, since there are some commonalities, but make sure to keep in mind that none of us are representative of anything. That's the nature of MGTOW
/r/MGTOW231/07/18 03:51 PM
1

" 9. Forcing you to obey their rules". I believe relationships should absolutely have rules, and the continuation of the relationship should be contingent on adherence to those rules. Such rules include "Don't cheat on me", and "Don't disrespect me". Sometimes these rules are stricter, like "Don't go out drinking and clubbing without me", or "Don't go out dressed like a whore".
/r/MGTOW231/07/18 12:31 PM

Your life is your choice, but I don't believe that adhering to this ideology is good for your long-term emotional and sexual development. I believe you're depriving yourself of an opportunity to learn, and you're depriving yourself of the opportunity to fortify your views through experience. You're a lot more likely to falter and fuck your life up when you're older if you haven't had the experience to prove your views.

I saw normal, conservative relationship structures -- including a certain degree of control, subservience, or restriction -- being pigeonholed with abuse and violence for years and I'm not at all surprised that this has happened. This seems to me another instance of anti-tradition hysteria. A woman on an MGTOW subreddit is pretty curious. Few questions, if you don't mind. What draws you to this kind of space? What do you stand to gain? + what are your views on MGTOW issues, generally?

Sexuality is an impulsive force. Building a career out of it seems to me indicative of a short-sighted and impulse-driven mind. It's no surprise that they're doing it without long-term consideration. Also: Consider that most women in the sex "industry" are seriously mentally ill, driven by self-esteem problems and a pathological need for sexual attention. The link between promiscuity and mental/personality disorders is well-established.

Cheated on, stolen from, lied to, etc. Standard stuff. Women are not happier with the way life is now. There is no pendulum. I understand, but this is the wrong place. There are plenty of political subreddits that would accept a question like yours, if worded a bit more sensitively. Rule 6 of this sub says what kind of content we accept: posts about masculinity, independence and self-improvement, or anything aligning with/talking about MGTOW values. This post doesn't seem to fulfil any of those requirements. I do think your question is valid, useful, and worth asking. I believe this is an important discussion. But it'…

You’re talking about the difference between Fluid and Crystallised intelligence. She has more of both. You can’t argue that her choice to be with my father was unreasonable when we have absolutely no idea what her reasons were. That’s unfair.
/r/MGTOW230/07/18 07:05 PM

Not sure what you mean by “intelligent” and “smart”. They’re synonyms so you’ll need to be more specific about what you mean if you’re making a point. She has a higher IQ than him, by an obvious and significant margin, and is far more educated. That’s what I meant.

I can safely assume it was him. I am not planning to intervene. He needs me a lot more than I need him. It can be useful to think of it from a position of later potential regret. I'd love to reach out to him and try to change his mind but he cannot be reasoned with. This conversation showed that. I couldn't have been any more civil and decent about this. All I can do is wait for him to come around. He's getting old and he isn't having any more kids. There's no chance in Hell he could live with disowning his only child.
/r/MGTOW230/07/18 03:45 PM

I'd never give up on him, but he's got a lot of explaining to do when he inevitably gets in contact again. I can't let someone get away with trying to deceive&emotionally blackmail me. It's so fucking disrespectful.

There's no right answer, brother. It's a toss-up between sticking to the grind, and hoping for progression to a more satisfying occupation, versus abandoning ship and finding something else. Why not at least look for, and apply to, similar-paying jobs that you think you'd enjoy more? You've nothing to lose by trying, and you might stumble across an opportunity you'd have otherwise missed.
/r/MGTOW230/07/18 02:31 PM

If you aren't happy, you wouldn't be able to realise your potential as a father. Find a full-time job that makes you happy, or find a way to make the amount you need without working full-time. I believe that's all you can do. You can't make yourself happy in an unhappy job.
/r/MGTOW230/07/18 02:20 PM

That's a fair point, I'll edit my post. I didn't mean absolutely risk-free -- of course, every activity involves risk. What I meant is that the risks aren't extreme enough to warrant avoiding relationships, at that age.
/r/MGTOW230/07/18 01:32 PM
2

That's exactly what I'm doing. I know how short-sighted and unreasonable I was when I was 15, and it worries me to see people around that age making a commitment like this, which will have serious effects on their future and emotional development.

I think you have misunderstood my intentions. As a mod on this sub, I could decide to ban anyone under the age of X, but I'm not going to do that. I wrote this to open up a conversation. I am not looking to ban, restrict, or demand anything from anyone. I am simply sharing my concerns with the community. /r/MGTOW230/07/18 12:56 PM

I don’t believe that committing to a philosophy without having the experience to back it up can have a good outcome. These young men are going to stunt their growth, deprive themselves of an opportunity to learn, and then falter when they’re older.
/r/MGTOW230/07/18 12:12 PM

No. God, no. Don't deprive yourself of the opportunity to pursue relationships risk-free. Avoiding relationships in your teenage years will stunt your emotional and sexual growth. You have so much to learn about yourself and about women that you will never learn if you never date. You need to have this experience under your belt in order to truly understand MGTOW anyway. You don't have to worry about divorce or kids or shit like that. There is almost no risk. Go date while you still can.
/r/MGTOW230/07/18 09:57 AM

Most of us want to get married. But we're not going to. Like you, I dream of having a good wife. A stable, loving, intimate, trusting relationship. Who wouldn't want that? I recently got out of a 5 year relationship, thinking she was "the one". It was the best thing I've ever experienced. Until, that is, she betrayed me. Thankfully, I was already leaning towards MGTOW, and I refused to marry her, though she made it clear she wanted marriage. But for a while I had a taste of a "good relationship"…

No. Making a bad choice that opens you up to the possibility of a criminal assault does not give you “partial responsibility” for that act, in any meaningful sense. You do not have “partial responsibility” if I rob you at gunpoint because I see you have an expensive watch. Girls are idiots for dressing like whores. It is a bad decision. That’s true. But they have precisely zero responsibility if they get raped. Their input on the matter of the rape is so infinitesimal compared to the rapist’s th…

Depends if you’re actually more productive than them. You should be adequately rewarded for your productivity. There are too many factors in any complex task to assume outcome by gender — there is after all a great deal of overlap between the sexes. You should be paid according to your actual productivity, rather than an assumption of what it might be according to your gender.

I'm getting sick of these ideologically possessed scumbags pretending that their beliefs are based in empathy or a desire to uplift the oppressed. It's an obvious lie. I think I have to go monk mode until I get my head sorted. Otherwise I’ll be trapped in an endless cycle of rebounding with awful women, betrayal, rinse repeat. That’s brilliant advice.

Your language of “wholeness” and “communion” is absolutely spot-on. I’ve disintegrated myself and locked away parts of myself that I need to understand and learn from. The process I’m beginning is something like re-integration; wholeness and communion is the correct way to describe it. I did make an enemy of so many parts of myself. Instead of working to understand or improve them, I strived to delete them entirely. This is what I am undoing. Though I am not sure I agree with your analogy about …

Thanks a lot for your input. My emotional health is in the shitter right now after the last few years. I’m an extremely complicated person and I’ve done a lot of mental harm with misguided approaches to self-understanding, as detailed in my latest post to this sub, plus my last relationship, which was damaging and stunted my growth, even before considering the betrayal. The only time I have ever been happy is when I was at the top of the social hierarchy in college, when my relationship was comi…

That’s an interesting suggestion. Thank you. Really what I miss is having someone to be next to, and to hold etc, when I’m in a bad mood. It became my main method of dealing with my emotions. So I’m not sure that would provide what I need. But I’ll stop needing it sooner or later — it’s just hard right now. I think what I’m talking about is term Social Touch Analgesia. Might be worth looking up.

I can defend myself perfectly well. I'm suspicious, secretive and EXTREMELY disagreeable by nature. That's not the problem. The problem is living with love, intimacy, care -- and then suddenly having it taken away because the whore decided to cheat on me. This is what hurts right now.

That hasn't been working for me. Physical closeness, intimacy, comfort. No hobby can provide that. I suppose I have to learn to live without it... there is really no substitute for a good relationship.

You’ve misunderstood. This was not an acknowledgement of female privilege. “Female” carries the same meaning as “person” in this sentence; she was finding a noun to apply her class adjectives to, and happened to pick a gendered one.

Also it isn’t like I’m super horny. I want a wife for love and companionship. If I just really needed someone to fuck, that’s easy to come across these days. Casual sex would be irrelevant pretty much.

Men’s higher standard deviation isn’t thought to be the result of educational bias. IQ is mostly inborn/genetically mediated and cannot be increased, only damaged by seriously adverse circumstances. You can decrease it by deprivation of food or severe deprivation of education but, yeah, that isn’t thought to be the cause right now.

I understand completely. My ideal future involves a faithful Christian wife, but I doubt that'll actually end up happening. I've had a taste of a good relationship, and it made me happier than anything ever has in my goddamn life. But I'm not stupid. Despite being a hopeless romantic at heart, I know not to let that get the best of me. It's truly unfortunate that we're in this situation, where LTRs are becoming (or have become) unviable. I hope it'll change, but I'm not banking on it.

Thanks so much for your time. So, from what I can gather, Orthodox Christianity is more concerned with actual transformation and transcendence than the other denominations. In the sense that it isn't enough to just believe in the truth of the religion; you have to act and progress towards "becom[ing] God." I like those ideas. I need to do some more research into denominations of Christianity. I wouldn't call myself religious, but I think religions can contain an incredible sum of truth and meani…

Very few MGTOW guys will actually, seriously claim that AWALT. Rather, the point is that the risk of an AWALT is so high that it isn't worth it for the slim chance of finding a NAWALT. I think I may have seen one. A friend of mine has been in a relationship for the past four years with a beautiful Christian girl. Raised by a family of vicars and psychiatrists. I don't think women have the same kind of rigid moral fibre that men have. Being more extroverted and socially-attuned by nature, they have a weaker sense of self, and therefore their values are more "flexible". What I mean by that is they can't really wrap their heads around something as demanding and unbending as religion. I wonder if there's a certain jealousy there, too. As in, they know they'll never have the uncompromising and impenetrable virtue of a truly faithful man. But who knows, rea…

Whether or not religion is a lie depends entirely on how you conceptualise religion. Do you understand religion as a statement of facts about the material world or a statement of value and meanings? Of course if you read the Bible as a statement of facts in the way you'd read a biology textbook it looks like a load of garbage, but ancient stories were written symbolically. Above all else -- and the Orthodox Christians, I hear, know this particularly well -- religion is a value structure. Whether…

Also, with women raised to be strong, independent and career focussed, your explanation for monkeybranching and infidelity fall flat. If your argument were correct, women would be more faithful and trustworthy if they’ve been raised in a time of gender equality, but that just is not true. I’m not sure there is a firm agreement among MGTOW groups about exactly why LTRs are a bad bet. While men and women are both promiscuous by nature, men have an easier time overriding it in my experience. I believe most women have too weak a sense of self and are too lacking in moral virtue to challenge their impulses and that’s why I don’t date. I don’t think this is women’s fault though. I’d call that ideological possession. That’s what I meant originally. They aren’t doing it for profit; they actually really believe it.

Yeah, that’s definitely a component, but I wouldn’t call that a profit motivation if they’re forced to do it to keep their job. I believe that’s a little too complex to be described as “just for profit”.

Did you miss the part where I said I’m not using this as an example to defend or justify anything? I know there’s no reason necessary. I’m just pointing to ideological possession as a causal factor.
/r/MensRights23/07/18 06:02 PM

I’m not justifying their choices. I wrote the original post; I’m absolutely opposed to the trans ideology. What I mean is that doctors in the UK would have no reason to peddle this shit except actually believing it, as their pay isn’t contingent on sales. On that basis I’m saying a large proportion of the doctors have to actually, really subscribe to this ideology. I believe ideological possession is a stronger causal factor than profit.
/r/MensRights23/07/18 05:24 PM

I don’t believe they’re profit driven. It’s happening in the UK, where doctor’s pay is fairly static. I do believe they’re ideologically driven, however.

That’s extremely unfortunate. Nothing you said was inflammatory or intentionally subversive. You just politely offered your thoughts and got obliterated for it. That’s just being redpilled. The distinction between RP and MGTOW is that MGTOW conclude that long term relationships inherently fail a cost-benefit analysis. RPers don’t. I’m not sure where I can direct you for more info but the short answer is that the downsides of an LTR outweigh the possible benefits so reliably that LTRs are inherently too high in risk and too low in reward and should therefore be avoided in all cases. I think there's a range of differing views here, I haven't seen a clear trend. People here are concerned for men's issues but aren't in full agreement about what those issues are and how to solve them. I think that the nuance is important. Rigid adherence to tradition is dangerous. Ruthless ignorance of tradition is dangerous. I believe we should strive to establish a healthy, mutualistic relationship with tradition.

Speaking of "unreasonable gender standards", Jordan B Peterson helped me understand how gender roles are good and evil simultaneously. These ancient institutions contain hard-won wisdom but it's in their nature to become rigid, tyrannical, too strict. The right solution is to have a dynamic relationship with tradition; to be in touch with it, to understand, to extract as much good as you can and to try to improve it. He uses the metaphor that societies are always, simultaneously, the evil tyrant…

I do think the sexes are different and, as a result of that, different standards/expectations are applied to them. Some amount of that could fairly be labelled "privilege". However I reject the idea that men are in a more privileged position overall.

I’d like to believe that, but it seemed genuine. She was not manipulative by nature. I believe she was actually this unstable, without any specific intent. That was the effect though. Every time I showed self respect, it felt like I’d kicked a crying toddler in the face. I kept doing it regardless but man it was not fun

My ex was never wrong until the emotional breakdown kicked in. Which it did. Every time we disagreed. That fucked me up bad, seeing that happen every time we had a slight disagreement. She wasn’t moderate or severely BPD, as we managed five years together without her doing anything outrageous, but she had considerable BPD traits. Depression, self harm, extreme fear of abandonment, inability to handle criticism, and always thought she was the victim.

How old was he when he was ordered to pay up? Still underage?

Misleading title — nowhere did the Supreme Court get close to ruling that the statutory rape was not a crime. They said it wasn’t relevant to the child support appeal. Fair enough, disagree with that ruling, but it’s dishonest to claim that they ruled rape to be legal. Also, it’s worth keeping in mind that: Seyer had actually given consent to the acts under civil law. I think there’s a difference between statutory rape and actual rape that is important to understanding these events. However it s…

My ex, who had BPD leanings, would do the following cycle every week: she does something stupid or disrespectful I calmly explain that she shouldn’t do that she angrily defends herself I calmly explain why her defense is garbage she breaks down crying, begs for forgiveness, apologises over and over again Nothing ever changed. Plus, seeing a girl I cared for break down and cry like a baby was traumatic. Made me feel so guilty and would always wake up my paternal care instincts. It hurt like hell …

That tweet is fake. The original comment was a YouTube response from Peterson reading “Find another site to sully you evil coward”. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/ChapoTrapHouse/comments/8ro9fz/jordan_peterson_must_be_new_to_youtube_comments/?st=JJSC6JMH&sh=2f0e6c06 Also This image is confusing. Like other commenters I’m not sure what your point is. His daughter is a whore? What’s with the picture of Jordan with face paint?

You’re right. I lost so much masculine independence. I stopped moving forward. I stopped exercising. And I became unable to deal with my emotions without relying on her. Time to fix this shit...

I feel you. For a while I tormented myself about my standards. I broke up with every girl I've dated for lying, cheating, stealing, etc and, feeling lonely and desperate, started to think that it's my fault for holding unrealistic standards. How fucking sad is it that a man should have to think that? It's absolutely heartbreaking that basic standards of moral virtue are considered "high standards". Western women are in a hell of a state...

This is amazing advice. This subreddit is on another level

Ok, I agree. It makes sense to argue that love and companionship are unfeasible and that, therefore, a woman’s value is purely sexual. All my experiences with women are consistent with your claim. Also I appreciate the nuance in your argument. It is terribly unfortunate that the world is set up like this, and I also feel that there’s no winning, only surviving.

Good advice. I have no contact with her and no plans to establish any. I’m avoiding her as much as possible and absolutely not asking after her. Thanks for the encouragement. The actual man in me feels pathetic for being so hurt by this. It’s good to be told that my experience is normal.

That’s a good call. I did warn him. I spent a few hours writing up a detailed personality evaluation with evidence and sent it to him. He’ll get the message and get out or he’ll ignore it and probably kill himself when she betrays him. We aren’t friends anymore for obvious reasons — he miraculously cut me off when my gf left, not coincidentally — but I still felt I owe him a warning. Otherwise there’d be blood on my hands. Speaking of BPD, it was so fucking weird and traumatic man. She’d start a…

I hope you’re right. I don’t have much faith in my ability to be happy alone. She sapped me of my independence and strong will — before all this I was a competitive and surprisingly successful guy. Once I reclaim that old personality, maybe then I’ll be happy. It’s a long road. Thanks for the kind words

You’re right to observe that I’m weak and dependent. I know it and I hate it and I’m trying to change it (what other choice do I have)? I could deal with my emotions just fine 4 years ago but cohabiting with a woman softened me up. I’ve become extroverted and weak when I used to be a hard-headed introvert. Gotta fix that.

https://www.reddit.com/r/MGTOW/comments/8zl477/story_time_21m_betrayed_by_fiance21f_of_5_yrs/ Just posted this story. Nice, submissive, chirpy girl turns into loud-mouthed domineering whore. The breakup was a few weeks back. My mental health is ruined and I realise that, without her, I don't know how to live. Don't fucking risk it.

Not sure but I guess so. He brown-nosed 24/7 and gave her exactly the validation she wanted.

This is the best response I’ve got. Thanks for this. And don’t worry about being condescending, I know I don’t know shit. I’ll consider your words carefully. I do need to get back into self-improvement (physical, mental, life planning etc) but it’ll be a few months at least before I can properly dive into that. I’ve been studying and exercising more, but crippled mental and physical health in the aftermath of my relationship’s breakdown limits what I can do — I don’t have it in me to start plann…

I think you’re right, and I’m glad this happened while I’m young enough to recover emotionally and financially without long-term consequences.
