just like by saying "reverse racism" they mean that 99% of racism is from white people so we need a different word when other races act like that. Total crap.

Every once in while I learn something that will stick with me my life from reddit. breakneckridge's comment is one of them. You may not have got much karma on this one, but you did get to rent a space in my head for the rest of my life. reverse sexism = equality reverse racism = equality logic rules.

I think it hurt men because they have to register but women have the option. But I would like it to be the same for both genders. Either we all register or we all have the option.

I was responding to a general agreement that we should be positive. I remember that he was turned away from women's homeless shelters because he was a man. He even asked if just his son could have a cot and he would sleep outside, but was told nope. He didn't cry victim hood. He pulled himself up despite his gender and race. And I found that inspirational.

This was a situation I know about where they were engaged and after pregnancy, she decided she wanted to remain single. He really was looking forward to meeting his daughter and begged her not to abort. he offered to sign papers if she wanted that he would pay and raise the baby 100% and release her from any obligagtion. He ended up heart-broken both from losing his fiance and then losing his future daughter. There was no "force" involved

On any story I am outraged about, I like to tell it to other people, but switch the gender. "Did you hear about the man that was putting broken glass in his wife's sandwiches? Well, she was cheating on him. He didn't serve a single day in jail for it." Then when they get good and upset I add "oh, wait, it was a woman who did that to a man." And just leave it like that. I think it helps people realize their own prejudices towards men.

I am a manager and I can tell you at my company pay is determined by job title and years worked. If a woman has the same job as a man and has worked the same number of years, then she is paid exactly the same.
