Maybe unpopular opinion, but I think we should stop posting about incel subreddits. It's exhausting and counterproductive. We're not here to worry about LVM or incels; they don't deserve to continually make their way into our heads. Ignore and block and move on is always the best strategy. Anything else I feel like wastes time and energy that we deserve and work hard for and should invest elsewhere.

Wow. Just looked it up, it's true. Women having a job and not being married, how horrible (being called a spinster is usually insulting, at best it's a neutral statement). Even back then, apparently a woman's worth was determined by what men thought of her. That's why it's so important to stop caring about what others think about you and to value yourself. People can fetish-ize illnesses or caregiving, I'd avoid mentioning it on a profile unfortunately. A HVM who cares about you will always look past it, and I think it's best to introduce it when you're comfortable to, but without lowering your sense of self-worth. I'll definitely be reading these, thanks for recommending them! It's amazing how many methods will be invented to drastically change normal functions of women's bodies with horrible side effects, when it's far, far easier to invest in birth control for men. Yep, I have Mirena! Just because it's the most common IUD definitely doesn't mean it's the safest, especially since I also haven't had kids, and I wish I knew that earlier. The pain is definitely awful, and I'm sorry you went through that too. I'm going to urgent care later and it's sad that I might be faced with the fact that nothing is wrong with the IUD, it's just normal for people who haven't had kids to have a lot of pain with Mirena. After seeing a few comments like this, I completely agree, I will get a second opinion from a different doctor. Even though my doctor checked and said the placement was fine at my follow-up appointment, the pain is too much and I do think there's something either wrong or the IUD just isn't my body's thing and should be taken out early if possible. It's just frustrating that this situation is a thing that happened at all and it's more money I have to pay out.

I was super concerned about it and had my doctor check the placement afterwards, and they said it was fine at the follow-up appointment. I don't know if I believe them at this point, I might schedule with someone else in my area or just head to an urgent care for a second opinion. So frustrating!

I absolutely will have it removed. At my follow-up appointment I was concerned about the pain, and I had my doctor check to make sure the IUD was placed correctly, and apparently it was. But I agree that it isn't right, either in placement or other hidden biological factors. I am so sorry you're still suffering, I hope you recover soon!
