He never said it wasn't violence he was saying that her attacks were long over when he attacked her. So he wasn't defending himself at that point, he was assaulting her. Had he retaliated when she was hitting him then the story would be self-defense but that's not how it played out

Actually they are correct. Had he retaliated when he was hit then it's classed as self defence but enough time had passed and she wasn't acting aggressively when he hit her. Now it's two cases of assault instead of one and an act of self defence.

Real DJ'ing is work, I have seen and talked with real DJs and yes that shit is not something your average guy can do. When it comes to having your studio make you a flash drive and teach you how to hover your hands over equipment (which I have also seen a number of times) then that is not work. No, its a civil lawsuit court show. Real cases are brought forth that can be handled in a short time that would take too much of the real courts time. Judge Judy has legal right to rule in these matters but in for criminal matters, at least not on the show. It is real, there may be some things said before hand but most of theses shows, especially lines like this, are completely real.
