My ex is 14 years younger than me. She now brags to her friends that she has a boyfriend that's actually younger than her. So the age gap thing was an issue for my ex.

I read a post here about a week ago that sums up my situation. (paraphrased) She would never come back because that would mean she would have to admit some fault and that would mean she would have to take some accountability. And I'll add that she lamented to all my in-laws and our friends how i caused her soooo much pain. So coming back would mean she would have to eat lots of crow. I wish her only good things on her journey.

Excellent question. Early in our marriage I drank heavy and said and did things I would never do sober. Towards the end I cleaned up my act but still drank on Saturdays. But she left to find greener pastures. I hope she's found them. Her leaving was a tremendous blessing in disguise because I got and stayed sober after she left. I still miss her but I don't miss the constant drama and disrespect. I do however wish that today she could see me sober and see how I've changed for the good. Onward an…

Thanks brother for posting thus excellent message. Someone made a comment before that his wife won't ever come back, because that would mean she would need to admit she was wrong, and that would mean she would have to take accountability.

Gardening. I never planted a real vegetable garden before. I turned my backyard into a nice little garden oasis paradise. I walk barefoot in my garden every day with no bitching constantly about anything and everything.

Hey bro, take one minute at a time. Hang in there. I was completely devastated when my wife left. But I became a much better person, which I would not have achieved if she was still around. I wish her the best on her journey. Live and let live. Time does mend all wounds. Focus on yourself. Don't drink nor use. Exercise regularly if you're not already. There are stages of grief that you'll go through, and you'll get past them. Your best is yet to come. Hang in there 👍

The first few years were tough. Lonely. But as I've grown, me and myself is a party. I learned i don't need a woman around to celebrate my birthdays or any other holiday nor event. I'm going to Knott's Scary Farm alone this year and I'll have a wonderful time.

She had been acting cold, mean, and distant for a few weeks. I finally grew a pair and confronted her and asked her what's up? She quipped back that this is not the right tine to talk about it. I said there is no 'right time' to talk about this. She because very angry and yelled We Are Seperated! Poof. I'm learning to really enjoy being by myself with my pets. No drama, no emotional abuse. My life is better without her. I wish her the best on her journey.

It's been over four years for me and I'm still not completely over her. When she left my world was absolutely shattered into a million sharp fragments. Tossed everything single image, picture, and likeness of her in the trash long ago. And because i started seeing Facebook videos, pics, and mutual friends commenting on her new younger boyfriend, who she moved in with, I also deleted my Facebook account. You're getting good advice to cancel the credit cards. I didn't, and she rang them up and didn't pay them which trashed my credit. The most painful thing is that this was purposely done to hurt me from my wife, whom I trusted.

Good post. Three years ago, a few weeks before Thanksgiving, my ex was acting very aloof very standoffish. On Thanksgiving day, she ignored me and didn't wish me a happy Thanksgiving. I asked her why. She smiled like the Cheshire cat and said, 'I forgot,' and scuttled away. After stewing for an hour, I went into the living room where she was painting. I tried to make small talk, but she was annoyed. So I straight up asked her what the matter was. Why was she acting the way she was for the past f…

Hang in there, OP. We all are human with human frailties, and we all make big mistakes. Owning up to what you did helps the healing process. Good job. Getting sober was the best thing I have ever done for my mental health and healing after my ex left me for greener pastures. Way to go 👍

Thanks for sharing. You know, bro, I've learned to respect the saying, 'Sometimes our greatest blessings are unanswered prayers, even though we can't see it at the moment." Although my world was crushed and I still think about her a lot every day, I would never have grown to become a much better version of myself, which is a wonderful thing. So it is what it is. I wish her the best things in life.

Hi bro, I'm officially separated for three years. My wife, two years ago, had one of her friends tell me she has a new life now and moved on, so when am i filing for divorce? I said im not filing for divorce, If she wants a divorce, she needs to serve me papers. We married in 2007.
/r/Divorce_Men12/10/23 08:32 PM

A combination of things. Her leaving completely shattered my life and it's been three years and I'm still healing. I'm older 62 and my drive to have a partner is much less, and I'm an introvert and shy. Just trusting that at the right time, the Universe will introduce me to some nice compatibility lady.

My wife and i are separated 3 years. She left for greener grass. Last year I started seeing pics and clips of her and her new boyfriend on FB, so I deleted FB. Excellent move. It's been very hard. Maybe because of my ego. Maybe because I guess she really didn't love me enough to keep her vows. There is a line in the song 'I'll Be Around,' by the Spinners: You made your choice, and now it's up to me, to bow out gracefully. That's hard, but the right thing to do. Live and let live. Good post, OP. Probably my favorite thing to do all year is make the annual trip to Knott's Scary Farm. My wife left for greener pastures 3 years ago, but I still went to Scary Farm alone the past two years. I'm proud of myself for going solo, but it's depressing to go alone. So this year, I'm breaking my long streak of attending Scary Farm, and not put myself through the pain.

I was engaged to a lady who refused to sign a prenuptial agreement and we broke up. I immediately went into another knee jerk relationship and 5 months later we married. Talk about a rebound relationship. We never really got along although she was very pretty and sexy she could not take any constructive criticism and we were on and off the whole relationship. She left me about two years ago after 14 years of marriage. I take full responsibility. It's been a very big eye opener for me because my …
