That's all good my dude, I've got massive respect for you for being able to say that, rare that people on reddit do 🍻

Oh cool, hope you enjoyed my dude, whenever you're ready on that source ✌️

You get distracted bud?
/r/MensRights28/05/22 05:10 PM

Yeah, looked into it myself too, seems like its just another bullshit claim from the right trying to do damage control
/r/MensRights28/05/22 03:35 PM

I mean I just wanted your source specifically, because the majority of sources talk about how it's bullshit
/r/MensRights28/05/22 03:34 PM

But what does that have to do with shootings?

Republicans are blaming mass shootings on trans people?

No, I'm saying just put the additional information on your graph so it informs rather than confuses.

I mean the Wikipedia graph says 1912, introduction of the first universal male suffrage, extended to all citizens aged 30 and older, with no restrictions. It was applied in the elections of 1913.[68] In 1918 the electorate was expanded with all male citizens aged 21 and older or who had served in the army. Universal adult suffrage, including women, introduced in 1945, and applied for the first time in the referendum of 1946. Suffrage for men and women aged 18 granted in 1975. Which I feel is pre…

Looks like This gender essentialism is consistent with the Jungian philosophy undergirding the movement. Mythopoetic men thus speak of the need to recover "deep masculinity," to distinguish what they regard as genuine or mature masculinity from the problematic toxic masculinity of immature males.[11] Because most men no longer perform masculine rituals, mythopoets assert that men have mutated into destructive, hypermasculine chauvinists, or, in the opposite direction, have become too feminized. …

Do you have further reading on the origin of the term?

I mean most of the ones that wouldn't be in favour of MRA have "Information in Wikipedia differs from that presented here due to a different definition for Universal Male Suffrage" slapped on them 🤔

What time period and country are we talking here?

Alright dude, I just think the moral outrage here is a little out of proportion for what it is, although I genuinely do enjoy debate simply to see other people's opinions and see if they change mine 🍻

It is literally a self defence course, as I've stated the name is more than likely a dogwhistle to call victims os cis men specifically, their application process shows as much. Like I said, I'm not gonna say it wouldn't be better for a less aggressive name, but when you start clutching pearls over something this small, you start getting to the point where any depiction of violence towards certain groups triggers you, like back when people were losing their minds over an Advert depicting a scene…
/r/MensRights27/05/22 11:21 PM
1

I'm not gonna say the course shouldn't be called something more along the lines of "Self protection against men" just to put a better message and attract a better crowd, but I highly doubt that a course geared to victims isn't vetting their registrants, nor do they promote active aggression that would escalate a situation, rather how to get out of a situation that has already escalated to physical force using pain compliance. I work in security and had to do a course not too unlike what this one…

Good thing it's a self defence course and you have no intention of attacking anyone, right?

Well said 🥂

Definitely, I didn't see an issue with the poster so I talked about it with people on this sub who aren't trolls and had it explained better and my mind changed about it, because that's what rational discussion achieves, whereas the troll who accused you of lying was just arguing in bad faith, with no intention of understanding others.
/r/MensRights27/05/22 03:01 PM

Sadly this sub is filled with straight misogynists, I'm. All for mens rights, equity abs fair treatment in the legals system, which is what this sub is supposed to be about, apologies on behalf of those who come here and make the cause look bad, even if they're seemingly a majority here
/r/MensRights27/05/22 02:52 PM
2

Fair shout, I can't disagree and for the sake of fairness it should definitely be changed, even if they're going for a particular feel or aesthetic, "protecting yourself against men" puts out a better message and attracts a better crowd, well said bud 🥂

I mean if your only gripe is with the fact that it's advertised as "how to hurt men" then I can understand your plight, but we can both acknowledge that this is likely an attempt to appeal to women (and other) who've been victims of sexual assault, rape, domestic abuse and the like, and that this course is highly likely to consist of scenarios involving specifically men attacking women so it's better for the product to do what it says on the tin, no?
/r/MensRights27/05/22 02:39 PM

Speculation. the forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence. So how do you know the physicality of those involved? feel free to link where you told me You're arguing yourself into the ground in order to say that an attempted rape victim is lying, with no real reason to do so. Are you insinuating that no women have ever fought off rapists?
/r/MensRights27/05/22 01:46 PM
1

Is it obvious? How so? Sounds like Speculation to me.
/r/MensRights27/05/22 01:41 PM
2

You were speculating that those involved were baseline average for their sex, no?
/r/MensRights27/05/22 01:37 PM
1

I deny using speculation to invalidate an attempted rape victims experience.
/r/MensRights27/05/22 01:35 PM
2

Ah, back to presumptions in order to invalidate an attempted rape victim. Take your bad faith arguments elsewhere.

What are the odds that someone is super buff but have no idea how to fight?(as she basically admitted) I misread, I thought you were implying she had admitted she was buff, now I'm questioning that she admitted her assailant was buff? Either way, my last point still stands, I don't feel like you're looking for any firm of positive outcome from this conversation
/r/MensRights27/05/22 01:23 PM
2

Lmao, what? That's your logic here? So no one just works out for health? Everyone who goes to the gym is likely doing it to fight better? Even then, you're arguing in favour of her likely knowing how to fight, because she works out, like you said, yet you're claiming she can't fight? Fucking what? I can't with you dude, I wanted to come to an amicable conclusion but it's clear that you're either just a contrarian who's arguing fir the sake of it, or you're a troll who's trying to frustrate peopl…
/r/MensRights27/05/22 01:18 PM

Exactly, so why is it so unbelievable to you that this individual fought off their would be rapist? Way to prove yourself wrong lmao

I mean I'm 220lbs, spend 3 hours twice a week at the gym, I'm a pretty big dude but I've not been in a fight since I was like 140lbs in high school Not everyone who works out does it to be able to fight lmao Hell, most of the big guys in all those "woke movies" probably don't train to fight, don't you think?
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:54 PM
1

If he followed, he'd stay back a bit to be unseen until they took effect. At which point an individuals friends would notice that they've been drugged. Both the still being concious when dragged and overpowering read like something out of a feminist fantasy script. Both are extremely unlikely if not impossible and both at once?Nah. Someone grabbing you and trying to move you elsewhere and you managing to fight them off is unrealistic to you? What a weird take
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:53 PM
1

Except again, you're presuming both parties in this scenario are the baseline average, refusing to take into account possible variables in order to justify your refusal to believe that a woman could have fought off a would be rapist. That's your choice, even if it is a presumptive one. Also woke Hollywood movies Women can only fight off rapists in films made by "woke" people, understood lmao
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:45 PM
1

Except once they followed them to somewhere that wasn't public, they weren't just gonna stand around were they? Seriously dude, I can't believe I'm having to explain this to you, you can choose not to believe that someone fought off a would be rapist, that's your choice.
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:43 PM

Except its not just literally anyone, is it? What's the common denominator in the vast majority of rape or attempted rape?
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:41 PM

You mean heavy weight champion Gertrude "The Annihilator" Wilson? Fuck no man, no amount of training could prepare you for that fight lol
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:39 PM
1

You explained exactly that you're presuming lmao
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:35 PM
1

So you don't know enough about that situation to make that call so you're just presuming? Alright bud
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:32 PM

Waited until their target was clearly drugged, thus warranted undivided attention of their friends? You don't go to clubs much do you? I'd wager they drank the drugged drink and likely went to the toilet or out for a smoke shortly after before it kicked in, the assailant then followed them. This isn't rocket science bud
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:31 PM
1

Why? Do you know both parties in this scenario well enough to mage that call?
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:25 PM
-3

Not if they're with friends. r/nothingeverhappens
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:23 PM
-11

I mean who else are they training to fight off in day to day life?
/r/MensRights27/05/22 12:16 PM
-12

Except in American courts, a woman who is convicted of killing her spouse on average serves 15 years in prison, men who kill their spouses serve 4 years in average. Y'all downvoted but no one told me why lmao
/r/MensRights27/05/22 11:41 AM
-14

So you understand that most women, trained or not, likely won't beat a man attacking them, probably why this course is about hurting them specifically, right?
/r/MensRights27/05/22 11:39 AM
-7

You understand that date rape drugs don't take effect immediately, yes?
/r/MensRights27/05/22 11:38 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
