And by that logic you mentioned at the bottom it means I either have to find some underhanded duplicitous way of initiating a conversation, or literally only ever say "hey hows it going" if it's followed by "I want to fuck you that's why I'm saying a generic greeting to you". It’s not that black and white. Flirting is a dance where you’re both constantly feeling each other out in various ways to see if you’re a match We all know we're talking to each other to see if there's a spark, or sus each …

If you greet someone at an event for your mutual interests, people assume you’re there to connect or network over your shared interests. If you take away the shared interest, and you’re just randomly starting a conversation with something as generic as “hey, how’s it going?” people are going go be apprehensive because that’s not a normal thing to do so you probably have ulterior motives. This is weird regardless of gender. It’s less weird if you’re at a bar with no pretext since it’s socially ac…

When I was skinny, if I looked at the types of guys that dated the girls who were into me, they were also skinny. This suggested that the women who were into me specifically liked skinny guys. That being said, there’s more women who like “normal” bodyweight guys than women who like skinny guys in my experience. I think the fact that I was only 5’8, 125 lbs made a lot of women feel insecure and self-conscious because they felt bigger than me. It’s generally better for them to feel dainty/feminine…

Yeah, hugging generally isn’t flirtatious. Some “basic” flirtatious behavior would be stuff like: complimenting her such that she knows you find her attractive playful self-deprecation and teasing looking at her with mischievous/bedroom eyes using sexual innuendos/dirty jokes Sadly you can’t really learn how to flirt by watching Youtube or reading Reddit. It’s like a sense of humor, except it’s a sense of sexuality/flirtation. You’ve gotta develop it intuitively through experience.

They never give me an opportunity to escalate Can you elaborate on this? What does an ideal “opportunity to escalate” look like?

I’m 5’8 too! How much do you weigh? There was a night and day difference between how women perceived me when I weighed 125 lbs vs. 160 lbs. Your grooming matters a lot too. How often do your peers, women, and strangers compliment things like your hair and your attire? If you never/rarely get compliments on things like that, there’s still a lot of room for improvement. Think about how much time, effort, and money women invest in their hair, skincare, makeup, and clothing. Compare that to men. Whe…

I’ll be honest with you. These days I think the whole alpha-beta thing is mostly bullshit and tends to do more harm than good. That being said, even though it’s impossible to get people to come to a consensus on what an “alpha male” really is, in my mind an alpha male was always synonymous with “courageous.” This meant that if I was truly an “alpha male,” then I could go forward knowing that if people perceived me as being “beta” and if I got my heart broken after being vulnerable, then it wasn’…

Kudos to you for having the self-awareness and courage to acknowledge something like this! Frankly this is something that you’d ideally visit a therapist for. But assuming that’s not in the cards, here’s my two cents from someone who also used to fear women. In a nutshell: what exactly do you think you’re afraid of? Are you afraid of expressing your sexuality and creeping a woman out and making her uncomfortable? Are you afraid of falling in love and getting your heart broken? Are you afraid of …

When a girl tests a guy on the initial approach (looks interested-then ignores you completely, "I have a BF", goes up and talks to random guys after you chat, etc) she could be totally ready to say yes to a date but she doesn't indicate any level of interest. No dude. She's trying to tell you she's not interested while being as polite as possible. She's being polite because chances are she's had experiences with men who can't handle a direct rejection without becoming threatening. Don't take it …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
