I think people should do what works for them personally having a trad wife is a no go for me. But I was also raised in a house where both my parents worked so obviously I’m more use to it.

So why does the trope exist?? Stuff like this tends to not be pulled out of thin air….

It’s not controlling to point out controlling actions people don’t have to listen to me I have zero power here. But if someone perpetuates old issues expect them to be addressed especially online, controlling and toxic boundaries are not “just” and shouldn’t be indulged. We also just won’t ever agree here insecurities are never good if you are “thinking your wife is cheating” address the problem don’t let it fester.

Insecurities help no one and only breed more and more issues. Misinformed “boundaries” like this are what perpetuate this mess. You can have “hard boundaries” I agree but only if they are healthy, being controlling and toxic doesn’t help anyone.

I’m not really “telling them” I’m more like correcting a misinformation. People don’t have to listen to it but that doesn’t mean I can’t point it out either. Insecurities aren’t a good thing and shouldn’t be encouraged.

A popular one for men’s insecurities is how women dress as one can also gain “gratification” from that, yet it’s seen as a huge red flag when it’s set as a boundary.

This boundary has always seemed really toxic IMO, it’s like trying to tell people how they can dress. Countless things can be considered “emotionally cheating” if you just stretch it a bit. This being said I think one can have hard boundaries but we don’t need to change language, it’s not cheating it’s just a nonnegotiable term like how smoking is for me.

I think “better” is the wrong term here I think he really means more women cook at home and this is true. The only reason I say this is he also mentions cleaning the house, I’m pretty sure we all know most chefs are men but OP isn’t talking a professional setting here it seems. Also if it’s no shit that men are superior in sports why were you trying to say otherwise and a few here as well, I don’t think it’s as obvious as you are letting on here.

You don’t think OP knows what he is talking about because he doesn’t agree with you. The issue here is most people realize the advantage men have over women in sports which is why most sports are segregated.

Men are better at gymnastics as well this isn’t news…

What sports do women perform better in?? Most sports are segregated for a reason…

Yet gymnastics also has separate events as well men clearly have a stamina and strength advantage.
