Yikes... Before my current job i did contract it work. This was like my 7th contract in a row for the company that placed me so i had some heavy leeway with them. At the placement phase i requested 3$ more an hour and paid parking. I got both but only because my references and job referals from the other companies were stellar. I was also the only person placed there in 8 months that made it more than 2 months because of the workload.

Yes that i can believe. I myself was an army engineer. I grew up outdoors hiking along creeks. I know how to fish without a pole I always carry a decent knife and have a multitool like a leatherman or gerber within my immediate area. I also have a first aid kit at home, office and my car. Someone that knows whats in wood could easily teach someone.
/r/MensRights29/12/15 06:41 PM

I dont know if you have traveled to other countries and suffered a severe culture shock. That is about what would happen if you put some of these people in the woods with a book, knife and nothing else. A group could survive for a while but i think the biggest issue as per usual is going to be the weather. If your below say the Carolina's in the us and winter is approaching survival as you well know is much harder. At that point its not just foraging but hunting as well just to stay alive.
/r/MensRights29/12/15 05:50 PM

I grew up in the country and was a scout for several years. I currently live in a big city most people that are downtowners would be screwed. I know guys that dont even know how to use a hammer properly... Let alone how to make a simple shelter.
