Nah, we're not interested in each other romantically anymore. I even tried helping him dating a friend of mine who he fell head over heels for. He's a good guy and deserves someone who can make him feel more secure than I did, so I was genuinely happy for him when he met her. I'm also friends with several other ex's who are now married with children etc. Like I said, this was 10 years ago. I'm not quite sure why he said he already knew I was going to break up. I guess I was starting to withdraw …

I did talk to him a lot, but he never told me critical thought. I had to hear from mutual friends that he kept complaining about how miserable he was behind my back. I was completely blown away, because he pretended to be happy when he was around me. We were literally about to move in together. We eventually talked it out and he basically already knew it was over. Took us several months to work out our feelings after the break-up, but now we are friends and get along much better (this was 10 yea…

Honestly, I'm just trying to take a look around respectfully. I don't believe in echo-chambers so I don't want to spend my time reading Female Dating Strategy or whatever and getting completely alienated from the male view of the world. I'm trying not to be disrespectful, and my "story" was to tell you that in my case, I broke up with the guy for his sake, "not stringing him along". He was miserable being this way around me, avoiding fighting, because he was so terrified of me breaking up. We st…

Sure, because 5 men taking one well-off dude's temperature every 24 hours and being on call while living in a 9-room suite is much more "frontline" than 1 woman caring for two dozend dying people several shifts on end.

The real problem is that, if he "loves her so much" that he "never fights" with her, it's hard to tell if you have a diligent partner or someone who patronizes you. I've been told once, you can only have real fights with people who you love, because only with them do you really care about their opinion. If he doesn't care about her opinion or doesn't care about making her understand his opinion, it's like he doesn't value her as a sentinent person, just as an object he maintains. He could also j…

Honestly, I've only seen men talk this way about women, never seen women talk this way about men. There may be specific men that acted in a certain way that women warn other women to get away from, but whenever I see them talk about men in general it's more a "not all men are like soandso" attitude. For men however, that degrading attitude towards women seems to be getting more and more dominant all around. Just my personal experience.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
