| 2 | The name is Amanda. So today I decided that Im a lesbian... This might make people angry but its a legitimate question: can men have sex without raping the woman at some point? Is there a man out there that hasnt raped a woman at some point?Ok I think I read it wrong, I was assuming you were ascribing the comment about rape to all women. Your assertion that women are insulated still remains unjustified. | /r/MensRights | 07/12/12 02:43 PM |
| 2 | Non Sequitur gets it about rightThanks for the info! Though I think what would need to be done to show that, economically, there is a pro woman bias in divorce courts is a comparison of different situations. You would need to look at the outcome when men earn the majority of household income, when it is equal and also when women own the majority. It is also important to remember that while purely in terms of income a woman may bring less money into the typical marriage, she often takes on the role of a housewife. | 5 | On Teaching Men Not To RapeWhat I see in this is that it is about who, morally, is to blame for the rape. In every case of rape the moral responsibility is with the rapist. The victim should not have to modify their behaviour to suit the rapist, we should focus on what caused the rapist to become a rapist, and tackle the problem at it's source. | /r/MensRights | 07/12/12 02:13 PM |

Is there a man out there that hasnt raped a woman at some point? You said that "women in general" are "insulated from the real world", referring to the tumbler that said men can't have sex without raping. That doesn't seem like a misrepresentation to me, am I missing something? | /r/MensRights | 07/12/12 02:06 PM |
| 7 | On Teaching Men Not To RapeBridget didn't miss the point, she was pointing out a flaw in your analogy. In the case of the kind of rape we're talking about there is no accidental rape. The perpetrator always knows they are setting out to rape and so the incident happens because of them, and they are to blame. However in the case of the car crashes, they are most likely accidental, so it isn't the fault of the drivers. It is, in a more minor sense, the fault of not wearing your seatbelt. | /r/MensRights | 07/12/12 03:02 AM |
