Remain positive. I got my final order in February and I'm in the new relationship (though I thought this would never happen again). Life is much better than before. It's important to remain positive and believe in yourself!

Don't move out under no circumstances! She can't force you to move out! You can sleep in the separate rooms if necessary. You need to buy time to figure things out. Have you considered marriage counseling as an alternative? Perhaps separation/marriage counseling first before the divorce? Sounds like you can still fix it?

Kids will be much happier away from the toxic marriage. They can read signs and can feel/sense bad and unfriendly environment, it's not good for them to grow up like this! As long as you remain on good terms with your ex, don't speak badly about your failed marriage in front of your kids!

Think about your wellbeing first of all! It's tough but you only have one life, take care of yourself! It feels now like everything is falling apart, but it will get better with time. Even 10 year marriage is just a short episode in your life, people live to 100 nowadays lol you will rebuild your life

Yes, renting isn't ideal. What about a shared ownership? Would that allow you to buy a big enough place, whilst paying some rent only on the part that you don't own?

If your salary is £32k, the maximum you can borrow as I understand is £144k (32x4.5). I think if your salary was £38k then you could potentially afford the whole mortgage of £170k but then you would need to find £60k to buy her out. Sometimes it's possible to agree the terms of repayment at a later date, have you been discussing it with the solicitors yet? Have you made any formal agreement as to how the financial split might happen?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
