Unfortunately there’s no secret. Take it minute by minute if need be. Try not to blame yourself too much. There’s no making the pain stop, embrace as much of it as you can take for now. And do whatever you can to take care of yourself otherwise. Workouts, sauna, drives, even just staying hydrated. Whatever helps you tolerate existing for now. You’ll get through this brother.

Honestly that doesn’t like 50 percent to me. It wasn’t your job to make her appreciate you. It sounds like she failed to voice her concerns in a healthy and direct way, instead she chose to hold onto that resentment over time until it became contempt, not your fault. She chose to monkey branch, which is a form of cheating, instead of breaking things off cleanly if you two were incompatible. The “mental load” thing is horse shit too, I’m sure you had your own mental load you were carrying as well…

She doesn’t make mistakes? JFC man. Either she lacks any self awareness or is a narcissist. Honestly though, is this really what you want? It’s commendable to try to save things, but is it really worth saving if you take all the blame for everything? That’d drive anyone nuts overtime.

Condolences brother. Sounds like she has been mentally checked out for awhile and manipulated you into still providing for her. Honestly she sounds like a piece of work though, good riddance. She was just dragging you down man. You deserve better. Totally get what you mean about the explanation/closure thing. I’m in the same boat with my divorce too. Honestly, I don’t think we’ll ever truly find it which is maddening. I think self reflection and personal growth is the only way forward. A book I …

That does sound like a really shitty situation brother. It’s not fair for you to have to hold her up socially, emotionally and physically (with the housework). That’s super draining, I couldn’t imagine another decade or more of that neither. Personally I’d give her the choice of returning back to both couples therapy and her starting personal therapy, or she gets served papers. Even though she can’t control her depression and anxiety directly, she needs to take accountability for it and get help…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
