After one of my partners told me her friends said she should get me black out drunk so she can rape me in my sleep to get pregnant to get me trapped I've never felt any guilt saying no. And yes they were joking, though I thought we weren't supposed to joke about rape.

Never quite understood the argument here. If you're a woman on campus and you believe in the 1 in 5 statistic why are you on campus? If someone told me that I have a 1 in 5 chance of being mauled by a bear if I went camping in these woods I wouldn't go camping in the woods.

Really does sounds like an excuse. I'm an introvert, and also have social anxiety. When my friends invite me to parties I respectfully decline because I cannot enjoy myself there. I can, however, invite a friend or two over to play cards, or go visit them at their place and have some drinks. If you're so far gone that you can't interact with even your friends without a monitor or phone between you, you need to go seek help.

No. I don't want to spend the time/money on pet ownership. I don't hate animals, I just don't want them to rely on me to live. Not really fair to them.

Yeah Labowski, some people enlist for the benefits, not because they want to fight. I did my 5 and left. Just wanted that G.I. Bill.

I always did terrible on the PFT, it was always the pull-ups. I always though it was a dumb way to test physical fitness and then the CFT came out, something I could easily 300. And yes, PFTs contribute a lot towards promotions which is why women have lower standards. So they can compete for promotions. I know a bunch of guys who hated that too. Hate that they're in better shape overall than their female peers but score lower because of the different standards. Not sure there's an easy solution …

I play on PC and I would recommend the same. Mods are a thing in this and there is one mod in particular that you will want to get but I can't tell you what it is without spoiling the game. I'm not sure what camera problems you're talking about with 3 but I found the game to be super fun. The boss fight with The End has to be one of my favorite boss fights of any game. I thought 4 was pretty good also. It streamlined a lot of stuff from 3 while using similar mechanics. You didn't have to manuall…

I pretty much have an exact opposite opinion. I thought they were all great. I'm having a lot of fun with MGS5 too. 93 hours in and I'm "maybe" halfway through the game. I guess it really depends on what you're looking for out of the game though. This is more like Peace Walker than the others. Not sure if you've pl;ayed that but that's a comparison you can make.

Paying alimony is generally done after a divorce right? Once you're divorced you're no long married, and therefor no longer spouses.
/r/MensRights09/09/15 01:16 AM

Honestly? I'm actually against the entire concept of alimony as a whole, fault or not. Even the name "spousal support" is gross, considering the people are no longer spouses.
/r/MensRights08/09/15 01:49 AM

I'd say if you're opting out of a divorce through no fault of the person you're leaving you're not entitled to support from that person.

I've never met a woman who didn't know about when she was going to start her period. I would think they should know better than guys when they need to have these things. Also, I don't need some 15-year-old telling me how to be a "real man".

You didn't really answer my question. If two people get drunk, both not thinking straight, and have sex, who raped who? I'm not asking you what the case is when only one partner is drunk, I'm asking what the case is when both are. Also, it's pretty silly to tell men not to learn to fight accusations in an unjust system.

I'm in your same exact situation. It's impossible for me to make friends here. I have zero interest in partying so that doesn't help. Everyone I have class with is 10ish years younger than I am. I'm surprised at how many times I've seen parents say that their kids owe them something when they get older. And it isn't even a gendered thing. My boss at work had kids so they would take care of him when he gets old. He assumes they're going to stick around and do that and not want to move away and do their own thing. My grandmother had 7 kids and only 1 stuck around to help her. Come to find out he only did it so he could inherit her house when she passed.

Just so you know, the military provides military spouses with additional protections in addition to those already afforded by society. For example, if she delays the divorce she's entitled to a stipend based on a percentage of his Basic Allowance for Housing up to a certain maximum amount. Not sure a video of this guy talking to her while she's on the pot is going to be proof enough that she was cheating, and even so I don't know if it'll help him not get screwed over anyways.

Ha. I grew up in a family of 5 kids with parents who were extremely poor. I envy my friends who have wealthy parents that helped them through college. That helped them get on their feet. I have friends who are 10 years younger than I am that are already further in their lives (educated, own their own homes, good jobs, ect) because they were able to focus on one thing at a time. This quote in particular received a lot of shaming language in the comments. It's hard for people to believe that guys can have fun without chasing women I guess or that they might actually not want to have sex.

The long and short is games are made with a target audience in mind, not for everyone. Books and movies are the same way. You're never going to please everyone and people are always going to complain. If companies buy into this crap and start censoring loads of content they're going to lose customers that want that content and probably not gain any because the people complaining don't actually even want to play those games.

I agree with this. I hold a very strict, "Don't ask questions you don't want answers to" because I don't sugar coat stuff. I don't go out of my way however to be insulting. I won't tell you you're fat unless you ask me if I think you're fat.

Yeah that's what I thought. The problem isn't that women are gaining a bunch of weight. Everyone is. It affects women's attractiveness more because men are more visual but yeah, this is a problem for both genders.

I don't see a reason to maintain a social media account so others can easily reach me. I also realized I was paying for a cell phone I never used and tossed that aside too. I'm genuinely curious who this article is targeting. Does this have some purpose or is it circle-jerking? I see she mentions that men earn more if they are married. Is it an attempt to convince men that they'll make more if they get married? The only place I can think where that is true is in the military (U.S.). I just don't get these articles. Not sure it really matters. I don't know the laws there (This was in Toronto?) but in the U.S. most states have "at will employment". They do advise you to set up a "Thrift Savings Plan" or something like that while you're in basic. Basically it's one of those, put in X and the military will match it up to a certain amount. I wish I took the advice. Then again I got married/divorced while I was enlisted so I guess that's one less thing she was able to take, maybe it was better that I didn't.

I always assumed the lower longevity wasn't a factor of biology, but mostly because they die doing dangerous shit all the time.

I read the title and expected the text in here to say, "j/k"

I was under the impression that it's anywhere there is an expectation of privacy you need consent. You would have to argue probably that in your own home there isn't an expectation of privacy but I don't honestly know how that would play out.

I remember this post. She mentioned in the comments actually that she was worried he was going to cheat or something when he said he wasn't going to miss her. Like, "Oh I'm not giving it to him so I wonder if he'll get it elsewhere." Someone also brought up the point that the spreadsheet started 7 weeks ago, so we have to wonder when the sex actually tapered off. Overall I remember the comments surprisingly calling her out on her bullshit.

Divorced in 2011. MGTOW the same year without realizing what MGTOW was.

I avoid texts like this by making sure my female friends know from the start that I don't give a shit about their emotional problems. If they don't want to be friends then I saved myself a headache.

I don't know the name but basically they put two clips on and cut out the section between them. The pain from the surgery only lasted for maybe a week for me.

I did research before I got mine and opted to risk the permanent pain over the chance for kids. I lucked out though and I haven't noticed any pain and I've had it for well over a year.

This doesn't just apply to my married friends. Some of my friends in LTRs are in the same exact boat. When I was 21 I had a friend who would always want to make plans, then would cancel on me without letting me know because "something came up with his girlfriend". Needless to say him and I no longer speak.

I rarely talk to any of my married friends. Most of them are too busy for me.

I took, "Men are suicidal because men are lazy" from the thing.

Just talked to my friend about this today. She's really frustrated with "hookup culture" and hates that people just sleep around randomly. I don't get why she cares because she wants to be single anyways.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
