I will never forget when the pretty girl in our friend group got rejected by a guy in the group our freshman year of college in the dorms. She was pretty miserable to be a around for like 2 weeks after that because she was from a small town and always had her pick of guys and didn't know how to handle a rejection.

I remember reading about that. The issue with the test run was the AI used previous resumes of hired people as the criteria to consider when selecting people. Most of the previously people selected were men. I’m not sure if it’s that men write resumes differently or have different experiences, but that was the issue. Edit: When I say issue, I mean that it didn’t get the results that amazon desired. I’m sure it was fine at picking qualified people.

I went to the university they are at (University of Cincinnati) and studied engineering. There were plenty of girls in engineering (mostly chemical and biomedical). These girls are stupid.

I understand why spousal support exists. If a woman hasn't worked for years and has a major resume gap, I think she should get some help getting back on her feet. Anything over a year is just dumb though. I wold argue this if the dad was the stay at home parent as well.

It sucks though for everyone else. There's ~10 kids now that don't get to play basketball this year because someone else screwed up. Also, the teams that play them now don't get those games either. Not trying to be insensitive, but what would canceling the season do for the victim? The case would be handled the same way in wither situation.

Exactly. I finished my engineering degree with a 3.9+ GPA from an ABET accredited school. I could have made through Ivy League curriculum. I just never would have gotten in because I was lazy in high school, don't have connections, and not a minority. Unrelated, it's super expensive too, and I like that I don't have loans. Edit: lazy in terms of I got like 4-5 Bs in high school, which in hindsight is pathetic for how well I did in college

I don't get why people think they deserve so much. I understand the whole accustomed to a certain lifestyle argument, but that only goes so far. She gets: $1,000,000 upfront $50,000 in moving fees $300,000 over 5 years On top of that she was on 96 episodes of Law and Order: SVU. I'm sure she makes a decent amount from the syndication of that show. Go get a job like everyone else. You'll be fine.

It was field hockey I think. There isn't a male equivalent as far as I know. At least in that situation. I knew some guys that tried to play volleyball in middle school. We didn't have a men's team. Spoiler alert: they didn't get to play.
