Essentially. False Physical abuse ("he scratched me!!") report to the police. You are often removed from your home, arrested, and are not allowed within a certain distance of that individual. A restraining order type restriction is often in place.

Seriously. A one night stand on Halloween (when the STBXW had the kids) turned into a one year F fest for me. Don't stop trying. You'll get better. Bro hug. Humans learn through failure. Keep trying.

I do hope so. Thank you! I'm not budging much from my initial offer.

This is excellent to hear. The STBX is the same way. She is wanting to sell the business & house so she can have party money. Sure, let's make it difficult for me to feed my children by selling the business I've run solo for 15 years and take the roof from over the kids' heads. /S I hope my judge is like yours!

Excellent news dude. The STBX in my case is too ignorant to realize she's fighting a losing battle. Did the judge factor anything in particular into that decision? This judge is a new mother (the judge was on maternity leave a few months back). My kids mom abandoned them. I'm hoping that those factors are considered.

Absolutely love this. One would be amazed how STFU can positively change dynamics, in situations and relationships, across the board.

Your best defense is to STFU. Seriously. Whoever them is, whoever they is, let them talk. The smear camaign is very real and will turn around on them. I smile, I wave, they say something negative I'll respond with "oh, yeah? Interesting" For almost 3 years I was Satan incarnate. Now people walk up to me and say "thanks for not being the crazy one...." Unless you have to prove it for court or legal documents (which your lawyer should handle), don't acknowledge the shit show they're throwing This …

Absolutely the correct move. A consensual romp will turn into sexual abuse/ r@pe allegations. Don't even be in the same room alone with your STBX , if possible

I hope you are documenting everything. All the abuse, anything your daughter says about mommy being mean or loud. Videos, calls, texts. I'd immediately switch all communication to our family wizard or talking parents. TP is free and court admissable. My man, this is war. Stop being "civil". You need to be cold, calculating and be executing any plan to remove her from your life. Protecting yourself is protecting your daughter. It is unlikely you'll get sole/primary custody unless your wife either…

This is great for your case! I would also consider presenting a detailed, color coded Google calendar to show timesharing violations to the GAL. Timesharing violations are HUGE. Especially if there are repeated patterns of alienation. My GAL was female, if that matters. She was also a lawyer. A good GAL can win your case, before even going to court. But you must do the work and they are very costly.

First, I hope you have been journaling/documenting this all. A key reason my attorney suggested a GAL was to avoid having the child(ren) testify. The GAL's two separate reports painted the STBXW in such a bad light, she was forced to comply with court orders. Eventually, I was awarded nearly full custody and I doubt my children will have to be in court. Good luck

The friends are just a symptom of the actual Divorce Disease. They don't all have to be divorced themselves. They can be pining for divorce or "unhappy" in their marriage, and it's like a game of chicken. They all encourage each other to cheat or file. They cover for each other's indiscretions. "You go girl!" It was clear from the STBXW new lady friend group that nearly all of these women had issues in their relationships and they wanted out. Validation is a very addicting thing for these types …

The best way I could describe my lawyer was "seasoned." He was steady like a metronome. He didn't seem to get phased or upset. He has been doing family law for as long as I've been alive. He knew all the judges, he knew their demeanor, he knew the system and he knew all the other lawyers. He wasn't a socialite but he had working relationships with these people, and he was obviously respected by them. This is important. If he filed things, it wasn't frivolous. He only responded when necessary to …

Exactly. Tease em. Send em memes. Tell em you think about their insert sexy body part. You can say a lot by not saying a lot. They tend to fill in the gaps with whatever Disney fantasy they like. It helps if you've hit the gym, are in shape, are good in bed, have a modicum of control over your words and actions. Don't be desperate, be confident. Don't lean on them for support too much. They are there for a reason (enjoyable sex, orgasms) which benefits both of you. She wants to cuddle, sure, but…

Currently smashing a single mom situation ship We see each other often. Always intimate. Sometimes nights she sleeps over, sometimes not. Nooners. Blow jobs in the truck on work breaks. I sense she wants more but there's more red flags than a commie parade. Wild great sex, insane compatibility in the bedroom. That's all I need or want right now. Catching feels isn't an option. A woman controls access to sex. A man controls access to a relationship.

I'm 40m. Vasectomy. Two kids I have basically full custody (except some time during summer & holidays). I have a house, a business, and if I can financially survive this contentious divorce, I'll be sitting damn good to chill. I get laid essentially when I want. I have everything I need. Why would I gamble that peace and freedom away? The idea of love and/or marriage is fugazi anyway. I'll probably never cohabitate nor mingle finances, which both usually means marriage, ever again. F that noise!…

Yikes. That should stop on your side of things. An 11 yr old in bed with her dad is a divorcing mom's dream ticket. You'll be labeled as a predator and/or danger to your daughter. AP= affair partner

Things to do immediately: File for divorce. Yesterday. Take videos and pictures of the house, inside and out. Change information to EVERY single account. This will take several passes. You need to be thorough as hell. Lock her out of funds that are yours. Don't forget to clear out digital wallets. Don't steal from her but don't let her have access to your $/information. Take any valuables (guns gold jewelry cash heirlooms) and hide them at friends/relatives houses. Don't move out. Stop having se…

At this age, the battle in court battle will not pay off. You'll see completely diminished returns for your efforts, cost and sacrifice. It's a sad truth, but a very real one. Simply keep lines of communication open. Try to be there for important dates and be understanding. Talk to them as much as they will talk to you. They may very well be in their 30's by the time they come around. This was the case for me and my estranged father. Just be there and don't judge them. Tell them you love them of…

From what I've experienced, unless your ex (female) is pulled over for a DUI with kids in the car or she's beating kids in front of a cop with a bat, none of that other stuff matters. You won't get justice or a balance. Men are disposable and our mental/psychological health is a joke to the culture at large. Don't worry too much what she's doing. You're in her frame worrying about these things. You can't control her or what she does while kids are in her custody, unfortunately. The system seems …

Mine did the same thing, essentially. She kept referring to the kids last name as her maiden name. Both kids were telling me they were going to change their last names. Now, when she pulled the same stunt in front of judges and lawyers, correcting them as they addressed her...that was funny. The judges eyes went wide and both lawyers snickered at her antics.

I had night terrors for a while as things came crashing down. Everyone told me to see a doctor and get on meds. I hit the gym . I'd wake up panicking at 3-4 am, I'd be ready for work and at the gym by 5 am. Work all day the come home when she was busy or in bed already. I'd plan my day around gym time and seeing the kids (tactically seeing them when she is was "too busy") Long showers, grace, STFU, gym, journal . It was rough but I did it without medication. Focus on you and the kids if pertinen…

Every other comment here is golden advice. A few things I might add...they will run their abuse cycle on the kids and it will be very hard on the children. do not disparage her no matter what nasty lies she tells the kids. She will use the children as supply and/or flying monkeys. Maintain your dignity, be the best father you can. Expect every allegation to be thrown against you possible. document everything. Keep a running journal, email yourself. Keep all interactions through email. Better yet…

Wow. This is like....eerily similar. A) lawyer, now. File for divorce. Let her be served and don't tell her you've filed. Hit hard and hit fast . No remorse. Do not listen to her crocodile tears after she gets served. Do not file an abatement. She's already moved on and has a plan. B) record any and everything possible. Don't have sex with her. Don't stay in the same room if possible. Grey Rock. C) she's cheating. Almost guaranteed. D) expect a silver bullet divorce. See A, B , and C. E) get her…

I have so much advice, I'll probably forget half of it. 1) grey or yellow rock are your biggest tools. This isn't just words but body language as well as written responses. 2) switch to all written communication. Emails are ok but I'd get on a parenting app that archives everything. Talking Parents is ok and free. 3) don't be alone with her. Don't be in the same room, same car as her. If you are forced to, I'd highly recommend recording everything. 4) Silver Bullet divorce is very real.and anyon…

Bro you will. There won't be any light for a long time. Just keep going. The only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. I am not even out yet and I've done a metric ton of work on myself. Gym. Stoicism. Rebuilding credit and reshaping life goals. Its been a decade since I was this happy. Once you lose the Husband Goggles, it'll get better. I swore off women for a year. Then began smashing a FWB that isn't as "hot" but damned if the sex isn't 10x better.

Record everything! Document by hand what you cannot record! The therapist demonized my recording and documentation. The STBX was complaining about my documentation. She did it so much the kids started acting like it was an issue. The STBX had the kids saying that my taking notes was uncomfortable for them. For 14 years I have had a notebook nearby for work related purposes, and I was always adding notes. It was never an issue for kids or STBX. When I didn't have a notebook, I'd email myself note…

She was arrested that night. She called the police on me claiming I had scratched her. I never touched her. She was out on RoR within 48hrs. I filed for an injunction the next day. We had a hearing and I was denied. The Halo Effect is strong with this one. She seems to snake out of any responsibility or accountability for any of her wrongdoings.

Mine said the same and we did an abatement. Terrible decision as she did not even attempt to fix the issues. She just got nastier. 5 months later she put me in the ER with a concussion.
