2	More on Campus Kangaroo Courts My school (a small private Christian college) was just recently blasted because we don't take govt funding and don't follow Title IX. Granted, I'm not all that familiar with the law in question, but from a purely economic standpoint, this is very efficient. It is counterintuitive though. The fastest and easiest way to collapse any market is to artificially increase supply while lowering demand. It could work the same way with the illegal drug problem. If you remove or drastically reduce the penalty for suppliers, then you will likely see a drastic increase in their numbers. 1	Why is spousal support still a thing? Don't think that I'm against automation, but I do believe that humans are improved by labor. It doesn't have to be manual labor, but we learn and grow by having to manage our time an energy in order to produce goods and services. Automation helps to increase our efficiency in labor, but it does not truly eliminate labor. My point was that we live in a society today where there is no shame associated with being a mooch. 1	Why is spousal support still a thing? So you're saying that you think it's wrong for the woman to be cautious about moving ahead for fear that she will lose some of the income from her ex? From an individual financial standpoint that's just being efficient with the situation she's in. The sad part is that this is part of the culture we have created, where there is no penalty for being a leech. It's the same as someone who refuses to go back to work because they prefer welfare. 6	Flaw in a common feminist ideal? Asking for logical consistency from most humans is like asking for oil from a drinking fountain. Most feminists are ideologues, which is the opposite of sound critical thinkers. It's important to recognize, though, that all humans have a weakness for ideology. We will never eliminate it, but we can mitigate it by being aware of this tendency in ourselves. All of that is just to say that yes, you are right.
