I just wanted to be clear I am not a cop apologist I thoroughly believe they exist primarily to enforce the racial, class, gender, sexual and cultural oppression that alows capitalism to thrive. I believe there institution is contrary to the betterment of people. I am sorry you had shit situations. I have def been in a gender biased situation, a chick I was living with smashed a 12 pack of beer bottles in my new truck then jumped out at a red light, walked home and proceeded to kick the shit out…

Well, in reverse order: if that is actually the case then that is illegal, wrong and you should take action when they stepped inside. Write district judges, bantam courts, the da and the papers. I wasn't trying to imply you are dumb its just most people give up there rights to search and seizure then shout the rights have been violated. The point I should of added is WTF is with your nieghbor saying they heard you specifically say some murderous shit?! Guilty until proven innocent would have had …

Sadly there is a thing referred to as the "dark figure of crime" and that is laws that go unrecorded due to intimidation, or other factors. Most domestic disturbances never get prosecuted because, despite what the officer told you, it is up to her for the charges to stick. In most cases it even makes it to court and she stands there with a black eye saying nothing happened and no charges are filed and the cops doing something right for once is powerless. Same thing is happening to republicans. I live in a red state and I assure you …

I don't understand, if you agree that you can do all those things before marriage then your answer should have been nothing. He gains nothing out of a legal recognition and maybe gets some extra nookie on the gesture. The question was not what will he get out of a long term committed relationship, we all know there are possible advantages to that.

What about the rights of the child? Imagine going 15 years of your life thinking the man who raised, clothed and taught you was not your dad when you find out you have a hereditary disease he doesn't have? What would that do to him do you think? I was told a much less significant lie involving my adoption as a child and needless to say as a 15 year old it gave me SEVERE trust issues that needed to be addressed professionally. While I am a happy adult now, I have no contact with family. My entire…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
