The really crazy thing is that she was initially just suing to cover the hospital/medical treatment fees and she was rebuffed without being given any real consideration. After that is when the other damages started being dragged into the case. The whole story is really interesting and it's presented very well in this documentary called "Hot Coffee"

Yeah she was horribly screwed over by the media grossly misrepresenting her case. She had to get skin grafts on large portions of her thighs. I actually saw a documentary on it a while ago and it was really illuminating - http://www.hotcoffeethemovie.com/Default.asp

?? Why do you need your roommates around all the time? A 20 minute journey hardly seems that bad, especially considering that it would have earned you an extra couple hours with the girls who wanted to see you. Be honest, is it you or your roommates that they want to see? If it's the former then you shouldn't really be waiting around all night. It's not a bad thing to go out later on but only if that's what you actually want to do

Well, big gay mike, I've been in a very similar situation in the semi-recent past and might be able to help a bit with that! In high school I was extremely awkward. Tall, skinny, TERRIBLE long hair, generally not very confidant or assertive, uncomfortable with girls, etc etc... Here is a picture from when I was 16 to give you an idea: http://i.imgur.com/dUR89.jpg Not too pretty, huh? My personal growth has been a long series of changes. One big thing was actually learning to take care of my appe…

It generally means that she just isn't interested in you sexually. Could be for a number of reasons (physical attraction, attitude, sense of humor, how you carry yourself etc). I'd say its usually a combination of many of the aforementioned factors. As for what you do, you DO NOT WHINE! Don't act like a little bitch about it! Seriously, I shudder every time I hear guys moaning about getting 'friend zoned' and whatnot. What I would suggest doing is agreeing with her. "You know what, I'm really gl…

Haha thanks! Yeah I figured that very few people actually bother posting pictures in this reddit so I figured I might as well :P

I agree in a way... I definitely would have sex with a girl if we were both kind of drunk, and if I genuinely thought she was into me. I never would if she was blackout drunk though, especially considering how I was completely sober as I was the DD. I do kind of feel like she might have been ok with it either way, but I'd honestly just rather not put myself in that position. Getting laid is overrated anyways :P

Hey, no problem! Thanks! I'm 21 years old at the moment. I have never really been all that 'into' game so to speak, as in I rarely go into anything purely with the attention of chatting up girls, but I guess I have been single for about 6-7 months now and over that period started actively trying to meet new people and put myself out there a little more. Prior to that I had only really been in somewhat long term relationships, last one lasted about a year. Throughout high school I had long hair, …

Hiya guys - hijacking the top comment to give a quick update. Called her today, and we're going out together tonight to a local club together with some other friends. I'm going to be the DD so I am going to pick her and a couple of her girlfriends up from her place - woohoo, wish me luck :) Will be back tomorrow with an update, as well as maybe some pictures (my buddy is the photographer at the bar we're heading to).

Haha funny that you should ask, I actually really didn't have all that much of a game plan... I did text her a little while after I left saying "Hey this is (my name), thought I'd confirm that I didn't give you a fake # as I'm sure you've been wondering..." She responded with, "And what makes you think I didn't give you a fake number?:P" So I think the texting bit went just fine. So long as I get a smiley face I'm happy. Haven't called yet, but tonight is a popular night at a local club and a fe…

I completely agree! I find it a lot harder to approach in the day, although I am actually pretty social and have no problems approaching girls at places like bars or clubs. I think it stems from the fact that when you're out at night, you're surrounded by people expecting to be approached - most girls go out at night fully intending to flirt and expecting guys to hit on them, whereas during the day it is a bit easier to convince yourself that they are busy or that they wouldn't appreciate your a…
