So was it pregnancy, termination then the accusation? Pregnancy, accusation then termination? You'd think an attorney would work overtime to compel them to give that as evidence and judge would support it.

Curious, did she have an abortion? Could a DNA test have been done in some way to prove this earlier on?

Making a mistake in life or something/your job vs being raped are kinda...different scenarios. You see that right?

Pretty unprofessional or staged stuff all around. Female cop in the hall: "We got a juicy love triangle goin on..." Soldier: "You're scaring my cat!" Cops: (cant seem to figure out who is who at all...) "ok ok...we're gonna get this all sorted out". Solder gets violet repeatedly, resists arrest (keep letting her back into the room for discussions). Cops: "You should be more understanding" (despite not knowing about the soldier overseas) Soldier disagrees: (yelling intensifies) - Cops: "You wanna…

I think this is an important detail. We need to put ourselves in the administration's shoes for a sec and understand why this was going on. Was it a vindictive "boys are already privileged enough" type actions or was there a staffing issue or something they were compensating for and just don't really have the resources. I've got 4 kids, 2 in school now and I'm pretty sensitive to budgets and abilities to function and keep lights on and have staff worry about 30 kids every day.

I agree...despite the alligations, he showed his true partisan colors in the hearings and made it abundantly clear who his enemies are. Granted, that probably sucked royally, but for someone to be appointed to the highest, and what should be the most impartial branch of government, he definitely showed us who he will follow.

I get this is addressing rape, but this statement... Wow.. "MEN CAUSE 100% OF UNWANTED PREGNANCIES. Or. IRRESPONSIBLE EJACULATIONS BY MEN CAUSE 100% OF UNWANTED PREGNANCIES." So, in a consensual setting... Never has an irresponsible woman been involved or able to take blame? Missing or not taking birth control? Never has a woman convinced a man to be sexually active without protection? Or lied about being fixed/unable to be pregnant or even changed their minds when they did become pregnant willi…

While I get the negative angle here and really dislike the whole "man with kids alone is bad" thing.. I would be thrilled thinking that if any of my 3 children were abducted, and someone said something to get authorities involved. Apparently in our area there have been reports of some sketchy people approaching people with their kids in parking lots and chatting them up out of the blue. Human trafficking is real and I guess I'd prefer someone be a little suspicious about it than ignoring it all …

Schwartzman, the philosophy professor, acknowledged that women have come a long way since 1925. “But they are still subject to disproportionately high levels of sexual harassment and assault,” she said. “Viewed in this larger context, having a lounge for women contributes to the promotion of gender equality.” I'm not saying that's not inaccurate, saying women are likely to be approached or receive unwanted attention a bit more than men (or even harassment), but having one room on campus does not…

That one about removing children from families and being raised by the community sent shivers down my spine. Don't get me wrong, I believe there are good influences outside our home with friends and family but labeling any place with a male father figure as dangerous enough to just take them away gave me a bit of a rage vibe.

Ah yes, the great injustice of discrimination in Gyms. I'd also like to know if that gym has a 'women's only time' or whatever. That would be the icing on the cake. Not only, if you are male, do you pay more for your membership, but you are not allowed to use your said gym, at certain times thus diminishing the value even more.

I think it is good you feel something after that and sorry to hear that conflict reared its ugly head. Move forward from feeling disgusted. Maybe focus on a route to treatment for your boyfriend, counseling or meeting with some kind of professional. Taking active steps to a solution will make you both feel better and lessen the possibility of another incident.

I believe feminism or equal rights advocates have done some great and wonderful things across the globe for both men and women, but the second you try to rain on that parade and say "wait a minute...just because I'm a man...doesn't make me a bad person/rapist/misogynist/tyrant.." - thats what bothers the community because they seem to continually perpetuate a persona of all men that isn't fair or true in most instances. The assumption in legal standpoints and with law enforcement: Her word trump…

Thanks for the feedback. I don't post here a lot either, but I think the goal of r/Mensrights is really equal rights and consideration in a lot of societies 'jump to conclusions' and 'knee-jerk-reactions' when it comes to matters of legislation, child support, rape and other hot topic gender related issues. I think you'll find that most men here would like people to have faith in the justice system, treat men and women equally and listen to their stories of gender injustice based on the notion o…

I agree. What bothers most people here in this sub is the backlash for even suggesting such a thing. A lot of the negativity takes the form of "man up!" or "you cant be raped" and to stop taking attention away from real issues.

Really sorry about your experience. I appreciate your insight and think you're right: it really doesn't matter what sex you are... Violence or mistreatment is wrong and we should put more effort into treating those crimes and healing process to work more equally.

Its just ridiculous that anytime there is a man vs woman incident all of the sudden its "MENS RIGHTS IS STARTING WAR". I never see this group advocating violence or some kind of "we need to put women in their place" type of agenda. This guy had some serious issues.

I do not understand why /r/mensrights gets roped into stuff like this. NEVER have I read where this group advocates for pickup artist/seduction technique type stuff or forced affection and rape. I'm just dumbfounded that this group gets characterized as such. Blows my mind.

I find it interesting that if your female co-workers didn't realize it or still shot back with the defense of "this is PR, its a place for women" its almost as though because of the perception of many generations and centuries of oppression...the current generation of men owe them for a few decades inequality in their favor.

Just get dressed for crying out loud when you go to school. Enough with the sloppy pajamas and other stuff for both boys and girls. It's time to be a little bit more serious about life and meet the day and dress for the occasion. I'm really sick of this: "you shouldn't care about what I wear.... Its my right to do whatever I want...." . Make a dress code that is honest and practical and everyone sticks to it.

Proof that pregnancy does not destroy your body: my smoking hot wife after 2 kids. Both people in the relationship need to take care of themselves to stay healthy and maintain some attraction. Sick of this mentality that parenthood pretty much signals the end of 'fun'.

I wouldn't call myself a full blown MRA, but I’m a bit perplexed at this statement: “By allowing them a place in our intellectual institutions we are detracting from the fights that need to be had..” We all as a minority or majority have come to far to give heed to a notion that ‘some voices should just shut up or not be heard at all’. There are some real issues that some Human/Men/Womens rights group can bring up and resolve and to just say “shhhh, no no…we got this” is a little over the top. I…

I'm pretty surprised at the name Mensrights gets labeled with. I've read both feminist and men's rights groups, but am shocked how often this one is referred to as a hate group. It's remarkable just looking at the difference in language and tone. I find Mensrights to address issues more calmly and while there is some conclusion jumping occasionally it's not a tone dragging another groups name through the mud.
