Don't compare this to a holocaust of any kind. It's an injustice, yes. Not a holocaust of men. We don't need over-dramatic victimization and terrible comparisons. I get that you and other men on here have been wronged, but be more realistic in the future. Lying to yourself won't help make change happen.

So let's say a religion believed that cutting off the last knuckle on the pinky finger of the left hand was correct and that their deity wanted it. It's just a little bit off the tip so why does it matter? I mean some there would be some advantages to not having that tip of the pink, right? The fact of the matter is it really should be outlawed (unless it is for a legitimate medical purpose) because these children can't consent to it. It is genital mutilation covered in pseudo-science.

He is right, though. There are no benefits to getting the chop just like there are no real benefits to cutting out your appendix when you're young. It's just unnecessary until there is a reason for doing so.

I hate this... I get this so much, mostly from my mother. It doesn't help that I'm also a vegetarian and she is always trying to get me to eat meat. It's like, "Why can't you just let me worry about my own diet? I'm old enough to make my own decisions."

there are a handful of extreme feminists who believe in what I just said. They envision a world where fat men do not exist, 10% of the population are males, and all are super attractive. These men are imprisoned, solely for the purpose of insemination. I forget which feminist wrote about this "utopia" but I remember reading about it on this sub. They must be the craziest of crazies. Well, it's justified by the old standard of children coming first. Whether that's "correct" or not is completely subjective. Is there a better system to allow for growth and development for children without having it be on the backs of others? I'm sure there is, but we're far from it at this time. There is a reason I'm not going to ever have my own children, or at least I don't want to have my own children.

Try couples therapy, try anything that you can to get it through her head that you just want that time of your life to be done. I think she might be scared that once you get the vasectomy you might want more change in your life and not have her involved, let her know that you don't want a divorce, you just want to be happy with her without the chance of having more kids. I have a feeling OP may be leaving out some key details. We can't judge from this small bit of info given and yet people are all jumping on the "Divorce her and try and take the kids" route.
