His money habits are concerning, but you can mitigate that by keeping your finances separate. Meanwhile, Guy 1 is 50, looks 70, and irresponsibly does hard drugs. If he doesn't have dementia and brain damage now, he will within a decade or two. Do you really want to be a caretaker again?
