I’ve had this happen too. In my experience is happens because: the women are potentially interested in casual sex or an open arrangement and they make a judgment that this is what I am after too the women assume I possess enough self confidence to hear about the experiences they had without finding it threatening or off-putting (to be fair they seem genuinely curious in my wilder encounters too) the women hold me in reasonably high regard and so mirror the sorts of topics they expect us to find …

What is the benefit of a woman dating any man who even asks questions like this? If you could hear how you sound it would go some way to assisting you overcome the problems, anxieties and insecurities you face

People obsess over how much sex other people- specifically women- are having and then wonder why nobody will sleep with them Allowing oneself to care about this is a contributory factor in not getting laid. Move on

Well said. Near enough every complaint I read in this sub can somehow be traced back to capitalism; to the profit motive, manufactured insecurity, the 'cost of living', consumerism, disposable relationships, status seeking, inequality, crisis in mental health etc. All these things are relate

Nobody needs to ‘excuse’ casual sex. Sex is fun. People are different. Experiences with different people are nothing to be ashamed of. If there are excuses being made, it’s by the promiscuity patrol who mask their own insecurities by attempting to police what other people- usually women- do with their bodies

For all the differing opinions we see on this sub, I think this is something almost all guys here can agree upon. The narrative that men only go for young women 1) to manipulate them, or 2) because they can’t get women their own age is total, utter bollocks. These myths are founded and perpetuated entirely by women speaking on men’s behalf, and yet somehow- at least on reddit- seem to have seeped into the collective consciousness as if they were facts. Whenever an age gap is mentioned in another…

I never paid for a first date in my life and I've been on loads. I'm happy to buy the first drink, but I presume she will buy the second round
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/22 09:47 AM

I see where you are coming from. It’s probably a good tactic for getting laid, but if you want to have a chance of finding true, meaningful love, not being a dick really counts for something
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/22 01:01 PM

I thought the same, but then multiple women confirmed that an acquaintance of mine was behaving exactly in this way. I would never have guessed
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/22 08:05 AM

Largely true, I think. I used to be a ‘nice guy’ but without the misogyny nor vicious response to rejection. So basically I was boring as fuck and thought being ultra pleasant was enough to get dates
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/22 09:11 PM
1

Both I guess. I’m not motivated by profit, especially not other people’s. Plus most jobs are ultimately meaningless, they don’t benefit wider society, and very often they are even destructive.

I strongly prefer when a woman shaves armpits and legs, but I can also acknowledge that I have no place stating this when I have been dating someone just for a short while. In the past I have dated a couple of women who preferred not to shave, and their hair was longer than mine in these places. I found it kinda gross to look at, but it didn’t feel right to bring this up, and it certainly wasn’t a deal breaker for me as they had numerous other qualities to fall back on. My girlfriend shaves it a…

I simply would not date a conservative woman. Easy
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/22 07:26 AM

Well yea. In the US people find age gaps weird. Over here it’s much more normal, especially in cities. I’m 38 and most of the girls I dated prior to finding my current relationship were aged 19-24.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/22 05:06 PM
1

In a European city this is pretty normal. Fortunately I live in Europe :)
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/22 04:53 PM
6

I live in a major European city. I think counts around 20 by the time someone reaches 30 aren't considered high here, while anything around 5 or less would be considered quite low. I don't think any of it really matters and so I avoid passing comment or judgement on other people's decisions

volunteering specifically to find women is a total dick move, and one people will see through, even if they don't vocalise it. volunteer to help people, because altruism can be fulfilling. it'll make you a better person, which in turn will make you more attractive to certain types of women. but to remove all the intermediary stages and treat it as a way to get laid is really cringe
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/22 04:38 PM

It’s not always about debunking. Sometimes it’s simply about not thinking and speaking like a dick, which a lot of red pill peeps don’t seem to get

/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/22 02:23 PM

I guess I care to a limited extent. I think anything around 20 people is really very reasonable for a woman in her mid twenties. Maybe something over 40 would be problematic for me. People here start getting mad when that number gets anywhere close to 10
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 11:05 AM

It’s pretty easy to backup. Look at this sub; every day guys whining about women getting laid. Away from this sub most guys don’t care anywhere near as much l
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 03:08 PM
-2

I see this cliche repeated by guys a lot, but as far as I can tell there are no subs where women congregate to endlessly complain they can’t get a relationship because they enjoyed having sex in the past. It might happen occasionally, but it’s primarily a male hangup, held by a minority of men, and therefore not worth giving up enjoyment of one of life’s best pleasures- sex- just to please a tiny subset of jealous guys with fragile egos
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 02:24 PM

I’d add that all this vile terminology we see touted about this place, such as people being objectively ‘high/low value’, is an extension of the capitalist mindset that reduces people into simple commodities.

My two closest friends are male, but the rest of my friends are female. The key difference for me is the humour. With my guy friends it’s a lot darker, and we both contribute to perpetuating the laughs. With my female friends most of the jokes come from my side, and that’s totally fine. I would say I am more open to making new female friends than male ones. True story: I opened up to my now girlfriend about all of my insecurities and fears. I told her about the mistakes in my past and how they shaped me. I told her about my anxieties over the future, and my feelings of hopelessness. At the time I told her all this we were just friends. Yes it’s possible. Anyone can cheat. I made that mistake with someone I loved dearly in the past. The trick is to avoid situations where you might want to cheat. Don’t sail as close to he wind as possible. Temptation in a moment can lead you to find justification for anything.

I happened to mention that my ex girlfriend and I remain friends and my date got angry, telling me she wasn’t comfortable with this. Every time I hear someone use the term 'alpha' everyone in the room cringes. A very good friend of mine is a psychotherapist. She's currently working with a patient who refers to himself as being an 'alpha male'. Sure he's a decent looking guy, but all the therapists laugh and make jokes about him behind his back

I was on my way home from a party, rather high. It was around 10am on a Sunday. I saw this cute girl on a morning shop to the market and made the excuse of asking for a cigarette to talk to her. We got chatting, and somehow my conversation was waaay above what it normally is. We flirted intensely, got a coffee, and then after that she came back to mine and we fucked. Never saw her again

Hello. This is the first post in here that I can relate to for quite a long time. I’m reassured someone else shares my outlook on such topics, as the consensus here was starting to get me down. Stay strong, and keep resisting the bitterness and bile.

I can only speak for myself but I would say I’m not into ‘ambitious and driven’ women. I find these traits usually show in a certain type A personality, which I don’t get on with. Of course, it depends how the ambition is channeled too. I’m not into business minded women, but if I met a girl whose ambition related to a charitable cause, that would be more appealing

I’m male, 37. Throughout my adult life most of my dates and one night stands have been with girls aged 20-23. Sometimes they are a bit older or younger, in the last years I’d say the average was 11 or 12 years younger. I’m probably what loads of the sociopaths here would call low value. I don’t have money, nor any promising career.

I’m a guy. I’d make a small correction to my statement, and that is that I never paid for a first date in my life. The only times I have ever shouldered the financial burden is when settled into a relationship with someone, and even then it’s always approximately equal to the amount of times my partner picks up the tab

My experience is that lesbians are quite unfriendly toward men. Perhaps they have their reasons for this. Perhaps they always have guys making tired and predictable jokes about converting them etc etc. I’m not in a position to answer that, but as a guy with no intention to do that, I have little appetite nor incentive to make any extra effort toward anyone- male female, straight or gay- who is unfriendly toward me

So your argument is the people of a particular street local to your area are somehow representative of everyone of that race, not just in the country you’ve probably never left, but presumably also on a global scale? The point is any stat on race behavior is meaningless without examining other contributory factors, like poverty. Otherwise it’s just racism baiting

I mentioned in a other comment, but I’m being somewhat flippant. I was quite sex starved until my late twenties so I know how miserable it can be. Although I stopped short of becoming an outright misogynist, I can even identify with some of the thought patterns that inevitably follow when trying to make sense of one’s situation. I’m being somewhat flippant. I was myself one in the past (sort of, before it was a thing), albeit not the nasty misogynistic variety. Not getting laid is super shit. I can relate. Well as a guy I would disagree, but I think the man-haters and the woman-haters are two sides of the same coin, and neither seems able to identify that it’s their mirror image they rage against. That said, I think the woman haters are worse. Make no mistake, I find the posts on fds etc to be nasty as fuck, but it’s nothing in comparison to the posts I’ve seen in here in recent days. Might be worth pointing out that most of the ‘studies’ people have been posting the last days regarding different races are clearly fake, hence no citation is ever provided, just a meaningless graphic. No reputable institution secures funding and resources to examine whether, for example, black peoples have more STDs and sexual partners than other races. At times in my life I have made excuses for incels. Life can’t be pleasant knowing they lack the charisma to compensate for their poor genetics. Knowing you are bottom of the pile- and finding others to blame- must be a source of great torment. Honestly, i have at times felt genuinely compassionate for them, as I do with any form of human suffering. And the purge week comes along, and I’m like actually, on second thoughts, fuck em; they deserve it
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/21 01:01 PM

It’s a fucking embarrassment. I’m astounded people can’t identify their own bitterness and resentment as the primary driver in their miserable sex life, or lack of
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/21 12:53 PM
1

Too true. Funny how many guys in this sub getter all worked up over what is effectively their own reflection- albeit the female version

I hope so. This is an embarrassment

No reputable institution would conduct such a study.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/21 10:03 AM

What sort of reputable institution goes out of their way to fund a study on which races have most STDs? None. Without additional info about poverty etc it tells us nothing and merely reaffirms stereotypes

Yes, they have. When I was a teen very few people had any style, and even fewer dressed especially well. With the right eye for detail and a bit of creativity, even average guys/girls can stand really stand out.

I’m about as left as they come and never once in my life have I heard anyone making that argument

People who want to be angry at whatever men/women are doing with regards dating seek out the most extreme behavior examples- which always gain a misleading level of traction and visibility on the internet- to confirm their worldview and justify making broad, sweeping generalizations about one half of the population. Most people, men and women, are pretty reasonable
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 11:02 AM
1

I don’t think fringe examples of idiots- male or female- behaving like arseholes are any foundation for broader discussions on gender/relationship dynamics
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/21 09:51 AM

In my experience the status of sex as casual is usually known and shared by both parties prior to the act of it taking place. Sure there have been exceptions where either her or myself would have liked more to happen, but more often than not both of us have given off ‘this is a one time thing’ vibe in the moments leading up to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/21 10:28 AM
1

Nope I was a total video games geek who had no luck with women throughout my 20s but managed to adapt to slut life at the beginning of my 30s. I have lived two different lives, across a range of different European cities. The 2nd promiscuous life was definitely more enjoyable. Perhaps there are still people who live out in the sticks who think 5 is a high number. Or maybe that’s true of the US, where I have never been. But in the places I have lived it would be considered low for sure
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 02:54 PM

If most men draw the line at 5 that does a lot to explain why they will stay frustrated virgins. 5 is nothing

Report doesn’t reflect the trend. An average teen now will have a lot more sexual partners by the time they are 60 than the average 60 year old today will have had. In Europe, at least, I think most people in their mid twenties would consider about 10 sexual partners to be the lower end of average
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 02:46 PM
2

Oh absolutely. I was sick of the slut life when I met my current partner. It was perfect timing, as I think if I'd met her a year earlier my focus and energy would still be looking for where the next lay was coming from. But as it happened I was craving something deeper. Sleeping around was really fun, but it was hollow, and although it filled a hole in my confidence, it did not complete me in the way only love can. However, this was something I absolutely had to discover for myself. No combinat…

the short but honest summary: I had no luck with women for most of my time alive. I'm not a bad looking guy but I have always been somewhat awkward around women and lacking in confidence. This fostered a bitterness in me- one that I see so sooften in others on this sub. I too told myself girls should stay chaste. I too thought it meant society was breaking down. I too kidded myself into believing that I abstained out of choice, in the hope that some day I would eventually find some girl whose id…

You’ve got it back to front there. The more girls like a guy, the more he will sleep around, not vice-versa
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 01:29 PM

I think you’re behind the times if more than 5 is promiscuous. By mid twenties that’s chaste as fuck. I’d consider 30+ lays promiscuous

My count is quite high by most metrics, around 140-160 women. My girlfriend seems to like that other girls wanted me, but it occasionally bothers her that she isn’t sure whether someone she or I are speaking with is someone from my past. I have no doubt that there are moments where it bothers her more, but it pales in comparison to how bothered I would be had she a similar history to myself. Quite simply it would be too much for me, and we wouldn’t be in a relationship That’s said, I don’t think…

The difference being that a society with equal economic opportunity is both achievable and desirable For dating maybe the latter is true, but there is no way of ever getting to that place. In this context at least, people- or guys specifically- need to make their peace with it and do the best they can within the circumstances they are dealt
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 05:00 PM
2

Id hazard a guess that 90% of the girls I hooked up with were at least 10 years younger.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/21 03:40 PM
1

There’s the common myth that men only go for younger women because they want someone they can manipulate and women their own age won’t take their shit I’ve heard this repeated soooo many times, it seems to have somehow slipped unchallenged into many people’s internal encyclopedia. It’s total bollocks, of course. Men will simply get with younger women if/when they can. They do it because youth looks nicer. It’s really quite simple

For what it’s worth, my ambition has always been to be a stay at home father. I’ve had a fair few girlfriends over the years and every single one has shut that idea down completely. ‘Absolutely not’, they say. It’s 100% out of the equation for most women to be the sole breadwinner in a family. The exception being for those type A personality business women, which I’m not remotely attracted to But anyway, this aside, I agree with the rest of your post
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/21 03:29 PM

This level of bitterness is pretty cringe. Stop heaping all your insecurities and failings onto women in general. Attitudes like this are what is stopping you getting laid
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/21 11:41 AM
1

The problem is in the language used, not the substance. If a guy just wants to get laid, this will for most be a numbers game. They have to roll the dice x times to get a result. Importantly, men don’t get to decide what works and what doesn’t. Women do that. Unless a guy is really blessed with great looks and confidence, they won’t have the privilege of ‘just being themselves’ and still satisfying this instinctual need. That said, while I think it’s fine for guys to play the rules of the game a…

I find talking about low-value anyone- men or women- to be tasteless as fuck. Individuals face enough pressures and insecurities without an additional layer of reductionist commodification. I refuse to use the term.

I think there was nothing I wanted more for most of my life so I just kept trying. I can be quite awkward so it definitely did not come naturally to me. I was probably something similar to a ‘nice guy’ but without the hostility or misogyny. My luck with women was absolutely awful until my late 20s, and it wasn’t uncommon for me to go a couple of years without getting laid. I lived in a few different cities and even moved to a different country and this gave me the opportunity to really experimen…

For what it’s worth i find it far harder to get a girlfriend than a one night stand
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/21 08:21 AM
1

It’s not lowering standards, it’s just different standards. For one night stands people- both men and women- place more emphasis on looks and spontaneous excitement. But for long term relationship trust and stability suddenly become important
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/21 08:17 AM
1

I had a decent few slut years in the past, but I think I would have trouble allowing myself to enter a relationship with a girl who took it even further. Is that double standards? Absolutely. But desire doesn’t care whether something is double standards or not; it’s a feeling or impulse one can’t control. Equally, I have a penis, and yet I would never have any sort of relationship with someone else who had a penis too. This could also be double standards. I don’t care. Fortunately, however, thre…

I have never understood this concept of being liberated INTO the workforce, at least not insofar as it is often presented. I'm a guy, and my dream has long been to be a stay at home father some day. In response, every girlfriend I've ever had has effectively stated 'lol, not with me for sure!'.

Finally a post here I can wholeheartedly agree with.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/21 03:07 PM

M here Can’t imagine a reason why I should care for a woman’s status. Its utterly meaningless; just something to brag to friends about if they cared about it, but even then I wouldn’t, because they don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/21 11:36 AM
2

Anther point of agreement, slightly. A lot of women who belittle men who take issue with this stuff really misunderstand male psychology. They attribute a lot of nonsense about how male insecurity here it objectification etc. it’s not.

My first girlfriend had been with 5 other guys before me. I was a virgin when I met her. It tore me apart inside. It hit my pride. It made me feel inadequate. It made what we had feel less special, and something special was all I wanted. Looking back I think it was my jealousy that ruined the relationship. I projected a lot of resentment onto her, which deep down I knew wasn’t fair. If I could have slept around I would have done, instead I pretended I had some sort of moral high ground. I consid…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/20 05:20 PM

To some extent I agree. Honestly I would have a hard time being with a woman who slept with more people than me. I can try and rationalize this discrimination away but it’s quite deeply rooted; almost instinctual
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/20 05:09 PM

People are individuals, not data, which is plural by definition. This kind of autistic way of looking at society will only hinder you in life Full disclosure, I used to share your outlook, and am a lot happier since moving past it
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/20 05:07 PM
3

The best thing about having a past is that I can relate to others with a past too. I KNOW my previous experiences don’t impact my ability to have a close monogamous relationship. It would be hypocritical to judge others by a different standard
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/20 05:04 PM
4

I’m not entering a relationship with someone I haven’t slept with, no
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/20 04:53 PM
3

A friend with benefits is just someone who isn’t quite up to relationship standard, so why waste my time? I’d rather take another roll of the dice with a girl I haven’t met yet
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/20 04:51 PM
2

One can be serious about monogamy when in a relationship and enjoy hookup culture when single. It’s possible to have both, and I think most men who have that option take it
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/20 04:44 PM
1

I believe the biggest factor in whether or not someone cheats is whether or not they allow themselves to get into situations where they might get tempted.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/20 02:04 PM

If you just want to get laid you’ll be better off tapping into your extrovert side. If you want to increase your chances of finding your perfect long term match than better to just be yourself
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/20 07:21 AM

I was going to write a response but instead I will choose the lazy man option and sign my name to the bottom of this one instead

Nah I’m just not good with reducing someone’s worth- and all the life experiences that went into shaping them- into an overly simplistic single word summary. Of course there will be exceptions, but as a general rule I find wealthy people to be particularly unattractive. I don’t often like their personalities, and no amount of labeling them ‘high value’ (eugh) is going to change that
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/20 12:12 PM
4

I find all this ‘high value’ talk really mercenary and reductive too The simple fact is I don’t like it when women consider my financial status as a crucial factor in my worth. I would be hypocritical to do the same
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/20 12:02 PM

Couldn’t care less about a woman’s financial status. In fact, I look poorly upon those who do. The best relationships aren’t viewed as a transaction
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/20 09:37 AM

The emphasis on winning- or even competition- is an equally unhealthy focus on life that can lead to a lot of mental health issues in men. The fact this is so normalized as a goal is a product of an extremely individualist society (American, I presume)

I don’t pay much attention to either pill. But I was quite right wing and anti feminist in my youth. Something about the simplistic world view appealed to me. I think the thing that changed me was going to uni and studying politics. It served as brain exercise. It also gave me reason to reflect on the assumptions I had about the world. Many of these were absorbed through exposure to certain types of media, all of which had an agenda of sorts. I’m generally very left wing now, but not wholly in e…

Cheers. Yea I mean everything comes at a cost. I have sort of given up much hope of a fulfilling career, but the source of my anxieties has always been more closely tied to women, rather than earning money, so for my personal development it was the right decision. People here are really free to do as they please with a much lower risk of judgement than one would find elsewhere. Homophobia, racism etc are incredibly rare. Rents are low, and this attracts a lot of people who are living in the mome…

I have never felt more connected to someone than I do my current girlfriend. In fact for me I would argue that getting this whole slut phase out of my system has allowed me to feel even more connected than I might otherwise have felt. In earlier relationships I held some bitterness at not having much experience with women. Sometimes i had some resentment (which I managed to control and keep to myself, without being a dick about it) when a girl I was with had more experience than me. It caused me…

I moved to Berlin. MDMA just evaporated all the social anxieties I developed after years of bullying at school. Suddenly my body language was relaxed and natural rather than awkward and shy. Suddenly I could hold eye contact rather than having to look away. Attractive girls no longer made me nervous. My confidence spiraled upwards, and I stopped falling for people at a distance.
