Thoughts are common, and I even had them briefly during the anger phase even though I'm a very calm and happy person. They came near the end of my anger phase actually, because I was sort of in limbo between worlds and didn't really feel much of anything. Nothing left to do but get out there and kick some fucking ass, dude.

One thing that really helped me to break the wall initially was to do two-a-days at the gym. So go early in the morning and go later in the evening to crank out an extra set or two. Do the full routine you'd normally do, then the one later in the evening just go there with no expectations. Do what extra you can without getting injured.

Consider thinking less about where to pick up women, and think more about when. You'll find better quality girls early in the morning, as they have their own lives and responsibilities. Especially at the gym in exercise classes.

Hey and uhh, to the poster who said to treat it like a death - there's a deeper logic to it. You ever have a good friend who can complete your sentences or fill in the blank when you're talking about a story? Well when you lose physical access to someone, either at the end of a relationship or an actual death, part of the reason it hurts so badly is because you lose physical access to some of those shared memories. They're gone, and it's up to you to go create many new ones.

When I was going through Navy officer candidate school, we were getting slayed by Marine Corps Drill Instructors for the better part of 30 minutes in the sand pit, and if you so much as dropped your knees you would be rolled back three weeks to the beginning of training.
