Why would I want to make that many people happy? They can either wait for nature to take me or do it themselves.

No need to, I won. Got a divorce, paid zero alimony, I got custody of my daughter and ex moved out of state.

A divorce causes one mental issues. Unless it actually was (in which case you accept it and move on), do not allow others to convince you it was all your fault. Deep breaths and long walks will help you clear your mind. When you find yourself thinking/dwelling on the divorce, finish the thought and go to another one.

First of all, you are still young. Do not think you have to be good at a “manly” activity/hobby (mechanics, sports, weight lifting, etc) to be a real man. Work at being reliable in your actions and deeds. If you give your word to someone, do everything you can to keep it. Do not lie to others because that will make you untrustworthy. Physical prowess does not make one a man, character and integrity does. If you need hobbies but are not physically capable then try painting, drawing or taking up a…

Pretty much everything is a ‘strategic act’ for men. We ‘evolved’ planning out how to ‘attack’ our neighbors, dinner for the tribe, and the predator that wanted to have us for dinner. Successful plans meant we survived. So we apply that thought process to everything. Take shopping for example. Men will plan what they are going to get, the route to the store, and if we are familiar with the store we will plan out which aisle to take. Women, with the ancient history of gathering fruit/nuts/tubers,…

Before I retired (air traffic controller) I would make yeast breads that required kneading. The kneading was a great stress reducer (imagined I was choking those that caused the stress).

It is not low value to get fooled/tricked/taken advantage of by someone when you are very young. It is low value to blame others for your mistakes and to not accept responsibility for your own actions. Learn from your mistakes (that is how the best lessons are learned) and do not allow yourself to get in that situation again.

If you care that some jealous people on the internet think you are bad because you are a stay at home mom, remember that other people (me for one) are proud of you for having your priorities straight. I am not talking about your cleaning or cooking but about your interest and dedication to your child’s upbringing and education. Raising children properly is the most important job anyone can do. The rest of life is a support role. Edited for readability and spelling.

Then patience, Young Lady. Continue working on yourself ( no matter our ages, we all need work) and wear a delightful smile everywhere you go. Just remember that ‘your man’ is looking for you also and a smile will make it easier for him to break the ice. Men are usually not interested in introducing themselves to a grumpy or mean looking woman.

Emotionally? No. Emotionally suppressed? Yes. Imagine being told from birth that you are not allowed to express any emotion other than laughter or anger and anger has to be directed in the proper direction or it is also wrong. Try it for a week or so and see what it is like.

As far as her kitchen organization, ask her why (nonconfrontationally) she has things arranged the way she does. There may actually be a reason for it (efficiency for some meals) or it could just be “that was where I was told by my mother to put it”. Understand that you (and everyone else on the planet) can ever get a house clean enough for a mom. Just follow her lead and fix/clean something that is not in its proper place. You need to realize that she has to go over everything, even though noth…

You are welcome ( for the exchange ). Think about it this way....... Without knowing anything about you, (and assuming you know about plants/animals) think about the concept of “stunted growth”. Like a plant that is much smaller than it should be because it is in poor soil or the runt of the litter of puppies/kittens because they did not get enough nourishment in the womb. That is how you should think of men when it comes to emotions. We are taught from day one that “big boys don’t cry” so we su…

Men’s version of logic has NO emotions ( think Spock from Star Trek). This included dealing with emotional issues (which rarely comes out well but we are stubborn, damnit 😁). Not having looked at life through the eyes of a woman, I cannot pinpoint the differences. However, I do know they are there and can only go by my (over 55 years) experience and try to understand/explain them. When you were played, it was probably planned out. Some men are more interested in themselves and their personal ple…

You have been seriously snowed, Young Lady. Yes, when it comes to something technical/mechanical/tactical men will plan things out then enact the plan. However, when it comes to emotion based situations, men will respond with the first thing that pops in their mind. (Men consider a proposal as a tactical situation and play it out in their minds many times before doing it). Men have been trained by their upbringing (big boys don’t cry) to respond with logic. That does not mean we have completely …

Yes. No matter how much it seems otherwise, we are both human. Much of the confusion between the sexes on who wants what is driven by ‘societal norms’. She wants respect, he wants respect. She wants to feel needed/wanted/important and so does he. The only difference is the ruling hormone, testosterone/estrogen. Just remember one advantage you have over him and don’t abuse it (too much 😁). Women tend to think then act. Men tend to act then think. Edit: phrase in ( )

Tell him it is your goal to be a SAHM, not as a demand. If he loves you he will do his best to help you attain that goal. IF HE ASKS, have a list of positive reasons for your goal. He knows the disadvantage (financial ) but not the advantages. One being that as a SAHM, you will be able to prepare meals which is so much cheaper than ordering out or getting fast food. Let him see how he would benefit from your goal also.

In a way it is respect but that is only a facet of the need. Men want to feel relevant/needed. In this age of never ending government agencies, many men do not feel needed by or important to the women in their lives and they do not feel appreciated. Granted, some are scum and slime and do not deserve any adoration or respect. Hop into your time machine (imagination) and think about what kind of man was useful to the tribe. It was one that was successful in the hunt, protected his mate/family/tri…

Young Lady, looks are not everything to a man that is actually worth it. The most beautiful woman in the world can be undesireable if she does not have a good personality. Everyones looks fade over time. We are all our own worst critic and women seem to take this to an art form. Just like you do not have the same interests or tastes as every other woman on the planet, men do not either. Some men like large breasts and some prefer smaller ones for example. For every (natural) hair color, height, …

What you are experiencing is something that is easily explained. If you have not experienced this personally, just ask around. Have you ever watched a movie after you have read the book it was based upon? The movie is never as good as the book and never can be. He never considered you as a partner. He considered you as a possession or a plaything. You need to drop him like the snake he is, realize that you are a better person than you believe and deserve to be treated as such. He is breaking your spirit so you will do anything and everything he wants, without any hesitation. This is abuse, plain and simple. I am an old man and I have seen crap like this before. Yes, 22-26 is young (about to hit 60 here). What you have accomplished is only to build the foundation to support yourself while you reach for the stars. Relax a few (days, months, years) while you examine your likes and desires then set your next goal.

Yes. They copy pictures of beautiful women or hack into their accounts. They then hit on guys and try to get them to change their chatting to email or text (away from the app). I suggest you set the ‘ending’ of nun mode to not be an arbitrary date but instead to have it last as long as you need to be comfortable with yourself. When you are comfortable with yourself you will not make excuses to yourself for your date and lower/drop your standards to prevent being alone. This will make you more self confident and therefore more attractive.

I am old. When I was young, my dad had name plate style (engraved plate on a small board) that he had on his desk at home. It said, “It is hard to be humble when are as great as I am”. Your “position in society” ( in the US at least) is where YOU place yourself. Granted, we all start on different levels but to change, we have to put in the work. It will always be easier to fall down than to climb up the ladder. Realize you will have times when it will be easier to ‘fall back a few rungs” but don’t. You may not be able to climb back up again. Nothing worthwhile in life is easy. You need to view yourself as the type of woman you want to be (get into and follow the mindset) then …

You wrote that you are trying to “captivate a man”. While that may be true, your actions will come across as being predatory which will cause a mans neck hairs to rise up. I am guessing that you are fairly young (25 or less). I am knocking on the door of 60 and am a male. I have lurked here for a while, reading the posts, and it seems to me that the younger women are trying to be like the women of the 50-60’s in the role of relationships. It seems to me that you are trying to force a relationship to happen. Whether it is a conscious or subconscious action I do not know. But it will come across as you being desperate. The only males that will attract are not the ones you want. Be more relaxed. Laugh more and smile more. If you have not learned yet, learn to laugh at yourself (just don’t be a Debbie-downer) and do not throw your body at every/any man that talks to you. I have a daughter, initiated the divorce and got primary custody of the child ( 10 y/o ). She is now 25 and red pilled as hell. She had some slut friends in high school and watched them ruin their lives. I steered her away from them and towards her sane friends. Instead of Disney movies I got her to play video games. The knees are more bothered by low pressure areas than the cold. I live in Texas and I don’t recall anything special with my back when it gets cold. The rods are now surrounded by bone so there may not be an affect from that.
