It was a court appointed supervisor during the temporary orders and I am glad my ex decided to give in on that. And I don’t hate my ex by any means, when my aunt isn’t around she will supervise the visits so I can still see the kids. That’s the way I feel. Like I paid this woman an ungodly amount to have basically no rights to be a father to my kids. I know hindsight is 20/20 but I wouldn’t have agreed and would have kept on fighting had I know I’d just have to fight again.

The story is long but I will try to shorten as much as I can. About 3years ago CPS was called to our home, for neglect. At the time I was staying home with a work injury and my then wife was working. During this time I was supposed to be handling all the kid and household duties. I didn’t like to take the pain pills because I couldn’t watch the kids while on them, and we couldn’t afford full time child care so instead I was smoking pot for pain management. We don’t have a GAL, we never had one. Long story short when we got temporary orders I did not have a lawyer. My ex’s lawyer didn’t really explain anything to me or what I agreed to. The judge asked me if I understood it and I said I did but once I retained an attorney I realized I had not understood what I was agreeing to.
