We are supposed to be better and actually care about evidence but all these comments were just hateful and anti-women without even reading the article or giving any reason why this had to do with mens-rights. Do you have an example of an equal incident where a man got a harsher sentence? Otherwise, I don't see this as a discrimination issue and there are far more clear-cut cases of discrimination we should be focusing on instead of just looking like assholes attacking this girl.

It was, she plead guilty to negligent driving. There are so many possibilities to what happened here and very little evidence for us to look at. I have left parking lots that are on slopes with trees on either side where it is almost impossible to see oncoming traffic. Without more information, I don't think we should be jumping to conclusions on how guilty this girl is and definitely shouldn't be making this a gender issue when there are so many more clear cut cases of discrimination out there.…

If I need to text, I do it at stop signs or pull of the road. She could have done the same thing. It is innocent until proven guilty not the other way around. edit: she was leaving a parking lot so it is very possible she was parked when she texted.

She shouldn't get jail time either way. Jail is supposed to be for rehabilitation and removal of dangerous people from society. That said, a $500 dollar fine for killing a man is ridiculous. She should have her license taken away, be forced to undergo extensive driver training to get it back and be put on driving probation and have it taken away for good if she is ever caught driving distracted again. They are. That is why they are issuing warnings in this specific area while they work to find the perpetrator. They aren't telling all women to walk with a chaperone, they are saying there is a crazy man raping people in this area who is at large and if you have to walk this way it is a good idea to be on guard until the criminal is caught.
