That is what dropping them off at the firehouse is.

Except once they are a mother, it is not something they can change. The list was supposed to indicate things women are judged by that they can change. Just trying to get some clarity. EtA: I thought you had removed it, saw you didn't, ADHD reading is fun.

How does a single mother, change being a mother? Once you got a kid that should be innate. Unless you drop them babies off at the firehouse as soon as the Tinder Match hits.

Think they are looking for ENM and Poly options.

No, I stated a personal opinion regarding the topic. Posting children on social media. You're trying to spin it into something more, when the topic at hand was pretty straightforward, and I have no desire to go on this little adventure with you. Why do you feel entitled to expound on a personal opinion that doesn't harm anyone? Not posting your child's face on social media isn't that hard to do, and all it does is give the child some modicum of self when they enter an age in which they can decid…

I am, you're the one that needs to take it to a publisher. I'm trying to stay on topic, but regardless my original comment at no point differentiated between influencers and actors. Society does complain about child actors, we complain about their behaviors that are a direct result of being forced into the spotlight at a young age. Society belittles them and degrades them when they are struggling in the public eye, act out, dress as adults, and the like. When it's a symptom of their upbringing t…

Did I say it was the pedophile's fault alone?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/24 02:49 PM

We were discussing parents posting their kids, not child actors.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/24 02:30 PM

I'm truly against anyone sharing any images of their child on social media, regardless of fame.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/24 02:21 AM

Yeah! Like if my partner told me upfront he'd like a paternity test if/when children enter the picture, totally fine with it! After a child enters the picture, I'm assuming there's a trust issue that needs to be addressed. One that goes beyond a child.

I think the upset comes from the assumption that the topic is only broached after the pregnancy occurs. Timing is everything, the beginning of the relationship means it's a standard the individual has for themself, while after the pregnancy occurs it appears more accusatory.

For me, it's always been a no. However, my current partner has warmed me up to the idea. He's a father and a great one at that. My reasons for no have been: 1. My mother was highly unstable, and emotionally abusive throughout my life. When I was less then a year old she informed the courts that she would hurt me if she was alone with me. They granted my father full custody in 1991, with court supervised visits for mother. She almost never showed. I eventually was adopted by my paternal grandpare…

I do too. Except in situations like what another commenter said, where there's a possible medical concern, I really prefer not having conversations like OP described. I care about this person, it would feel awful to talk like that.

I think you are on to something. I've spent a good portion of my life in the Midwest, United States. Where religion, modesty, and politeness are very very much a part of the everyday. Sex is still often treated as taboo here.

I ain't talking about fucking bees dude, or the stove is hot. I'm talking about negative generalizations applied to both men and women for example all women are whores and all men are rapists. Those are the generalizations I don't like.

Naw, I just forget that this is an echo chamber of a very small subgroup of the population. I don't like generalizations period, regardless of gender I've lived long enough to know better.

In my 35 years on this earth, never once have I or any of my friends gone into any detail about our sex life. At most it's oh yeah we slept together and that's it. Where are these people at?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/24 08:46 PM
1

This is just strictly anecdotal, but I found at 35(no kids) I was fetishized by younger guys. It wasn't a true attraction and off-putting for me, not my jam.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 03:27 PM
2

It's interesting as the number of partners increases the % increases for men, and drops for women. The way this sub talks it should be the other way around.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/24 05:03 PM

Actually I'd argue either man or woman, should not put themselves in the way of harm. In EMS it goes your safety, the safety of your crew, and then the patients safety. Notice how the patient isn't the 1st concern, because if you get hurt you can't help them anyway. Even if that means waiting for additional assistance. Make note of the perp's appearance, vehicle, or license, all those things can be safely done without putting yourself in harm's way.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 02:15 PM

Considering the most dangerous time for someone in an abusive relationship is after they leave, there's a genuine and legitimate fear of loss of life that can prevent them from leaving.

Who doesn't agree setting healthy boundaries is good? Everyone should set boundaries for themselves regardless of gender. That's not news.

Most every chick I know swoons over babies, doesn't matter who the kid belongs to. Many of my friends and family knew from a young age they wanted kids. My childhood had a major influence on me. It's why I knew from about 10 that I didn't want kids. Would you rather I not have kids knowing I don't have any instinct for them, or would you prefer I gamble it on another life? Either it works out or it doesn't (which then leads to major impacts on the child's wellbeing and development?) And I dont l…

It takes a lot of work and self-reflection to determine you won't be a good parent. I'd argue they are the exact opposite of mentally weak when society still pressures people to have children, especially women.

And I think that's what I try and do, I want to get to kind of know the person right off the bat. I mean I know I can look and sometimes even sound mean or disinterested when I'm neither, so I try and give the benefit of the doubt to others and learn more. But a lot of times my initial instinct was correct. I just don't like writing people off, especially when some of the nicest, coolest people I've met have often put me off initially.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 03:20 PM

Not speaking for OP, but for me I have a bad habit of believing everyone to be good. I'm also not the best at social interaction and reading emotion, coupled with the overwhelming desire to be a people pleaser. I'll try and give everyone the benefit of the doubt. It's been a process to learn to go with my gut instinct, but it's the safest thing for me. I just don't like the feeling of writing people off based off a hunch. Seems mean.

I don't like this statement. My ex would spew it out to guilt me into doing things I don't want. It made me feel broken because every woman is supposed to be bi or gay. When I'm straight, always have been.

I've noticed that too. I'm probably wrong, but it appears to be a rather new growing phenomenon amongst men, whereas it's something women have dealt with for a bit longer (similar anyway) and therefore recognize it faster. Regardless it's not fair to men at all, and distressing to see. I can't think of a single guy in my life both past and present who I'd want to see debased like this.

Should only be done for legitimate medical reasons on anyone not old enough to consent. When they can understand and consent to the procedure, if they want it done cosmetically then that's their decision. As a woman I kind of prefer uncircumcised, just is hotter to me.

I find it pretty difficult. Not the attracting men part, it's the attracting the right person. I'm pretty modest in dress, but do have the dreaded piercings and tattoos. At 35 I'm either fetishized by young 20 year olds or infantilized by older men. When what I'm looking for is a long-term partner. I think it's a great point for the simple fact that you should do those things for yourself, to better yourself. Otherwise it won't stick, kind of like forcing an addict to rehab, when it shows that rehab is far more successful when the addict wants to do it on their own for themselves.

I wasn't implying or trying to be rude, just looking for clarity. When you start as friends there's often a precedent set. That you are friends. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm 34 now. But I remember my first relationship, which was when I was 19 in college. I didn't expect the guy to cook, clean, etc. Anymore than he expected it of me. We were in college, still figuring life out, having fun and enjoying life along while trying to make it thru school. Also cleaning would have been weird because we never lived together. But we would treat each other. We were young. I think expectations were tempered because of our age and maturity. I say all this bc I think it's rea…

I have dated someone with a BC at about 100, he was clean that's what mattered most to me. He was also 39 at the time. So that averages out if he started at 18 , to about 4 a year, which i don't consider outlandish.

I always try and split the bill, I feel weird if we don't. I was made super uncomfortable by a partner who insisted on paying for everything all the time. I didn't feel it was right. And I don't even bat an eye if I'm asked to split it, because it's preferred.

This isn't a new thing, the trope of love at first sight has been around since before I was born (89). It's just been rebranded by the younger generations. The one, twin flame...Yada Yada has been perpetuated from Disney to Hallmark. It's also important to have that spark. I'll admit I've yet to feel it immediately with anyone I've dated, but I also struggle with trust and social settings so it takes me more time. Women have been doing all that. Working, feeding themselves, paying taxes, housing ourselves. Women can even get pregnant if they want to, without sex. There’s procedures for that. The ability to do all this is actually seen as a problem in the dating world for men because they are considered providers. However, women are providing for themselves now.

I don’t think gaming is an ick. It’s one of my favorite pastimes, a way to relax & allow my brain to slow down. It’s far healthier then hitting the bar or even just the bottle. Gaming is also a great way to connect with friends and partners. I do enjoy watching others play, so I can see where if your partner plays a lot and you’d rather join there might be some conflict. I never made the connection between Gaming & Anime. But the Anime discussion I think is mixed bag’o pickles.

33F. And no I do not want them. I knew I would never have children at roughly 10 years of age. The instinct and drive just isn’t there. I have never once been comfortable enough to discuss sexual preferences with anyone on the first date. And regardless of if the free data was gather or not into any sort of published report it would all come back to meaning absolutely nothing. Sample size and Demographic do not support the claim. Nice snark. You do know what amounts to roughly 495,000 (paid) and 1.5 million (unpaid) women- isn’t the vast majority of women in a country of 167 million women. Edit: Added gender information
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 06:23 AM

And to have a good sample size it should represent the population you wish to study. It’s a numbers game. Even if you were to say 1.5 million individuals out of 167 million individuals preferred X over Y the percentages alone would not be of a statistical significance. It’s .89%. 1.5 million in this case isn’t even broken down to male vs female paid members. Let’s say it mirrors their overall user base which is heavily skewed to the male population. So if we were to go that route then that’s 495…

No worries about not knowing the gender, I tend to travel genderless through the internet. Though the right wrong people would be able to figure out who I am. But are you approaching women who solely look for LTR? Because that’s really not fair to them. The standards off the bat are different. Hell having jumped back in to the dating pool I’ve seen it first hand, I’ve been led on by dudes open to anything who in the end just decided I was more of a lay. So I’m left feeling empty, and they got th…
