Why is this on yahoo answers first of all, second of all neither should be allowed. Men should usually pay child support and I believe abortion should be illegal unless it is medically dangerous for the woman to give birth.

Unless the fetus has a high chance of killing its mother on childbirth, I don't see how it matters. She can give birth and put it up for adoption. But why can't you just give it a chance? Okay, but flies have about 0% chance of becoming humans. But they could have. That would have been a person by any standards in literally a matter of weeks. A zygote doesn't transform magically into a human, but an embryo does.

Babies are not capable of having values. It's a living thing. An underdeveloped human, sure, but a human all the same. It would be like saying a mentally disabled person is less than human. Infants are given piercings regularly. And okay, I get that. You're against circumcision which is your understandable opinion. But fetuses can't give consent on being killed either.

Why do you think that my opinion is wrong? Define the difference. And in my belief, which is that a fetus is indeed a person, would be weighing the rights of a person versus a younger person. Well I'd say that female genital mutilation should not be allowed, as it not only has no advantages, it can be harmful. Thanks. Nice to see some people here can appreciate and argue a difference of opinion.

Okay so the mother sounds bad, but I think it should be a joint parent thing anyways. I think the school should be able to work with dual households as well.
