OP is very clearly not any kind of feminist (especially not your straw man one) given that they don’t believe there should be consequences for sexual assault and calls people “cry babies” for reporting it. There is a difference between sexual harassment and sexual assault, to begin with, and framing your sexual harassment as a “joke” after it isn’t well received definitely doesn’t make it so. I think what happened here is that as someone who doesn’t take sexual harassment OR assault seriously, y…

The title of the post states that OP’s sister was “sexually accosted.” I can’t imagine how that, to you, indicated “nothing sexual.”

If you can’t be in a casual setting around women without forcibly trying to take their clothes off without their consent, then yes, you are correct, you should not be anywhere within the vicinity of these events. But please, let’s not pretend all men are that horrendous.

One of my biggest regrets in life is not going and “snitching” on the first guy who assaulted me. I will not ever forgive myself, knowing that had I reported him, he might not have done it to the girl he was with after me. The guy in your story is old enough to know better. There is a very slim chance that your sister is the first and only person he has or will assault. Hopefully he faces actual consequences next time.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
