17	On a thread comparing abortion to a vasectomy... What he meant by level the playing field, I think, is that at present, under the law, a woman can unilaterally decide whether to keep a child or not and the man gets no say in that. If a couple gets pregnant, and the man says he's ready to be a father and wants to keep the kid, even if he's willing to be the sole sole parent of the child and isn't asking for the mother to be in the picture, the woman can unilaterally decide to abort the baby if she wishes.
