Sounds like you're a woman who doesn't follow the crowd which is great. Means this comment isn't about you. Yes you can generalize because I don't date men so I have no clue what you go through with men. All I know is whether or not women care about how popular a man is more often than not they are attracted to men who other women are also attracted to.

As far your life goes you're right, everyone isn't the same. As far the men go who make these statements, their lives prove otherwise. You have your life experience as a woman which works for you and your friends but as men it looks completely different to us. Are you attracted to men who have little to no social circle? If so how do you even meet them?

I remember some of them but I don't obsess over them. I'll put it like this from a guys perspective. We don't really necessarily care if a girl is popular or not it's more about looks. So guys will regret rejecting a girl who they thought was not attractive then years later find out she's hot and realize they ruined their chance. I agree about not taking dating advice from women, however there are some women who give good advice. Just understand that if a woman gives you advice that sounds like it's coming from your mom or grandmother it's probably bad advice. They are teaching you to become a beta male and most women don't want that. They want an alpha or sigma male with some beta qualities. In other words most women's advice is intended for men who are already getting women.
