It really is astonishing to watch the most competent people I've ever met, who have grown our business year after year be discarded so readily. I recently went for another role, I was told by WhatsApp and face to face that "I'd no chance because I was the wrong colour" ( all recorded ) The job was quite senior, I've literally interviewed over 100 people, I know the system. Yes, I work in big pharma, they didn't tell me to my face but 3 people confidentially told me I'd no chance because I'm a man. I have literally performed miracles for this company, made them a fortune, but the job I went for went to a black girl on our graduate scheme. It's their politics, it does my head in, they take forever to reach a decision. What irks me the most is when they literally mimic what they think men are like, we call them "corporate Kate's". It's totally cringe to watch them compete like hell with each other. What's also hilarious is we used to outsource our HR (We have 500 staff) it's so busy now with endless bitching we have 5 full time staff.

I work in big pharma, they are explicitly horrible about men at every given opportunity. The company I work for reduced the male headcount by 20% in 2 years. The women in the company openly speak about making the entire business women only one day.
