Bro, you're making excuses. I understand completely. I did the same thing for years until in the I was stabbed and fortunate to survive. You simply cannot tolerate that violent behavior. I can't stress that enough. Take care of yourself.

You will always be guilty as the man. This is what i learned in DV class. What I also learned is that you must remove yourself from the situation as soon as the violence starts. You cannot win this fight. Lastly I learned about introspection. What's wrong with you that you are staying in this relationship?

Dude, people here are telling you "don't quit", "don't give up", "you're not alone", "get out and do something", blah, , blah, blah. They don't understand depression. They don't understand the darkness. They don't understand the sadness that kills everything good in life. I suffer from depression too and I understand you. All I can tell you is to think long and hard on your decision. Peace out.

My DV class was run by Catholic Charities and I was on probation until I completed the class. What I learned is that you as a male will be the one going to jail regardless of the circumstances. That's the law. That's it. The Catholics tell it straight like that,to their credit. In return we were taught anger management. Simple things like counting backwards from 10. Other things like not allowing oneself to be provoked. The most important thing was "What's wrong with you that you are remaining i…

I'll give you the cliff notes. Fighting with wife. Mutual combat and she gave as good as she got. But the cops always take the man. It was explained to me that since men are so much bigger, stronger and faster that any fight with a woman is inherently unfair and that the man is always guilty. Let the down voting commence.

That's a lot to think about, but I'll try toxic masculinity. The traits of toxic masculinity, agression, anger, violence, etc. are the product of a million years of evolution. We are all the prosterity of people who survived because of toxic masculinity. It's in our blood. Now women hate these same traits, but wait, evolution made us this way. We can't just turn it off or it's very difficult. It's like that Star Trek show where the society artificially made warriors, but then wanted to throw the…

It's not my opinion, it's a historical fact as follows" "In 1984, Congress passed the National Minimum Drinking Age Act, which required states to raise their ages for purchase and public possession to 21 by October 1986 or lose 10% of their federal highway funds. By mid-1988, all 50 states and the District of Columbia had raised their purchase ages to 21 (but not Puerto Rico, Guam, or the Virgin Islands, see Additional Notes below)."

Whoa there u/logical-tension. At one time in the USA the legal age for alcohol was also lowered to 18 and the kids drove drunk and died. After scores of deaths, the US Federal Government forced the states to increase the age back to 21. There's a big difference between ability to handle alcohol of a 18 yo high school kid vs. a 21 yo college graduate.

In the USA, the legal system punishes drug sellers much more harshly than drug buyers. The reasoning is that the drug buyers are addicts, while the drug sellers are simply greedy .
/r/MensRights11/06/22 02:13 PM

Now that's silly. Of course I have heard of human rights. Nevertheless, children are subjected to extremely painful medical procedures every day. One case in point is cancer and chemo. No matter how much the child protests, they will be forced to undergo chemo. There is no right of refusal for minors. C'mon, you know that.

Great discussion guys. I would especially like to thank u/baddingtonbearr and u/dgkeeper for their thoughtful and well-written posts. EXACTLY! You are proving my point. With modern medicine, big boobs are no longer necessary to feed baby, but wide hips still are needed for birth. Ok, you can point-out Julius Caesar's birth, but still...
/r/MensRights02/05/22 10:40 AM
2

Wide human female hips have an undeniable evolutionary advantage for birthing big brained babies. That's a fact. Although it may have been at one time, height is no longer a real evolutionary advantage because modern warfare does not favor big bodies, but it does favor big brains, that is, atomic warfare. Height is just an archaic hold-over that still affects women. Go figure.
/r/MensRights02/05/22 10:27 AM

I upvoted you u/baddingtonbearr, but not because I agree with you; I dont, i.e. boob and height surgery both have the same roots of unrealistic expectations of attractiveness. Personally, I could care less about boobs: I am not a 12 year old boy. I like wide hips, creamy thighs and a juicy booty - sorry, breeding evolution at play. I upvoted you because you had the guts to post in r/mensrights knowing all the while that you would be downvoted and more importantly because your post is thoughtful …
