Its like paying taxes. i feel i pay ridiculous amounts to the federal government every year - but i recognize that my income affords me that “luxury” to complain. she took half my salary for 7 years. 9	Last Alimony Payment yes- in my state its no fault. i could agree to short term (in this case 7 years) alimony allowing her to remarry without penalty or lifetime alimony that would cause alimony to cease if she remarried. 9	Last Alimony Payment letting go of the animosity will likely never happen. i hate her. loathe her in fact. Cheated on me with a buddy id known for 25 years. Had been cheating for longer than i care to admit. I was an idiot and it royally screwed me up for a long time- until i met my current wife. 20	Last Alimony Payment yes i am happy. life is good. i think its almost been harder for my wife to see most of our retirement float out the window the last 7 years. Ill likely have to put in another 5-10 years on the job to recover. i think she truly thought it would bankrupt me, and id be lying if i didnt admit there were times it was tight.
