Lol! I considered it, but then asked myself “WHY?! Why open up that line of communication? He’s an ex for a reason. Step the fuck on.”

Yes, because if you say quality time, they decide you don’t want ANY gifts or anything else. Asshole, all of these aspects are important.

Yes! I was so prideful on being a cool, low-maintenance wife, but seeing even other LVM showering their women at LEAST on these days hurt when I was empty-handed. I don’t need the biggest bouquet or the biggest gesture, but something. I am thoughtful in a relationship and will no longer agree with the anti-commercialism excuse for low effort especially if throughout the year everything is NO EFFORT. MFs.

Our lease ended yesterday and mine alone starts today! I look forward to focusing on myself and not being someone’s forever girlfriend— giving wife benefits and nothing in return!

I used to get excited when I got a match. Now, I know it’s just because they swipe right on everyone. I wish men would be more selective!

Yes! I find it creepy, too. They’re just sitting there “staring” at you. Haha

If only. Haha. “Yes, please tell me what specifically is different about me compared to other women.” I’d like to hear an honest answer to that. This is on par with “all my exes are crazy.” I mean, I’m pretty awesome and all, but I have met plenty of women that are awesome. They are always the common factor in their “problems”.

But there are so many men on OLD saying their dog comes first, just want to meet your dog, etc. so many dog obsessed folks out there. This is just nuts lol

To go along a picture of the ramen on the counter, the mostly empty ramen cup was in the silverware drawer? Drunk noodling.

These factors are what I struggle with too, but I’m going to trust the process. Ruling out low effort men is my priority!

Exactly on point. When we are talking about 50/50 with them they are just talking about the damn finances and not everything else. Lazy assholes.

I take it as a compliment, but I am also a bit of a smart ass so I’ll say something along the lines of, “Thanks, but were you expecting anything less?”

Yes. I was also a military wife so I was well trained to be a single mom after the divorce.

Wow. I don’t know why this never clicked for me. I just always assumed that I somehow pissed him off more than anyone ever could.

LMFAO!! I went to their website to check it out and it literally says “The League. Are you told your standards are too high? Keep them that way. While your mother might call you picky, we call you self-aware. Join The League, a dating community designed for the overly ambitious.” I am in stitches.

One of the times I caught my ex cheating on me, I found out she was married. I researched online and found her husband. I created an a new account without my info and sent him an invite and message. It sat forever so I looked at what college he went to and sent a letter in the mail “from” the college. Super stalkery, but I felt he should know. Sometime after I sent the letter, he responded to my online message and asked some questions and was in disbelief at first. No idea what their fate was, b…

You are my goals. Haha. I grew up with my mom doing everything. She was a stay at home mom and my brother didn’t do his own laundry for the most part until after she passed a few years ago. (My father as well haha) I used to clean the kitchen and rest of the house whenever they went grocery shopping and she would get so excited so I would do it every time I could. I regret not doing it... while she was there! Why did I think I had to wait until she was away from the house on her once a week outi…

This is my fear with my son. He is so sweet and thoughtful at 11. I have taught him to care about others, about sexism, racism, and classism. He isn’t really competitive (maybe Minecraft and MarioKart and classic video games) He doesn’t have any close friends that are into the same stuff as him other than Minecraft and he’s starting Middle School. They’re about to go in person and I’m just worried they are going to walk all over him and pick on him. I try to instill confidence in him and to acce…

This so much. I mean, I am not an amazing parent. I lose my tempter quick and my 6 year old walks all over me, and we have good Ol’ Mexican Standoffs in public when I don’t let her have her way. She has my stubbornness for sure, but thankfully all I get is compliments on her behavior and manners from the teachers and daycare staff. Now, some of the other kids are down right terrors. I feel so bad for some of the teachers and daycare workers. Overworked and underpaid dealing with the shit head ki…

I don’t thinks so, but he moved in with me because his lease was up in like two weeks and he didn’t have a place to go yet so my Pickmeisha self offered him to move in with me. We weren’t even officially a couple yet. (Why was this not a reg flag to me?!)

The lease ends at the end of September and I told him I would help him find a place if he needed (lack of adulting is an issue). That is when real freedom starts!!! I’m going to deep clean my entire house and sleep in the damn bed sideways hahahaha

He’s a totally nice guy, just oblivious and low effort/no effort, but I made sure that my children were at their father’s house and told my ex, my brothers, and a couple of close friends that if I went missing or was murdered it was him. Statistically speaking, you have to be safe. Could have done it in public, but that would require him leaving the bedroom!

Bleh. My ex husband was like this. If I told anyone about our issues I’d later have to cut them out of my life because it would be “uncomfortable” for him. I quit confiding in people altogether and suffered silently for so long. When I finally gathered the nerve to leave him, I confided in my brother (to pick me up from the airport) and my family (so I could have a place to stay). Once we reconciled, because I was an idiot, he was trying to say, “Well, I guess I can’t be around your family anymo…

This is me too. I cannot stay single for the life of me. I just get so excited that someone seemingly attractive is interested in me and I just fall into these long term, dead-end relationships. There goes another 12, 3, etc years of my life.
