After all the lies and manipulation, she writes a letter of apology and its taken as genuine? Seriously? And only close to 4 years of jail time? It's good that justice was eventually served, but damn what a trainwreck to finally get there.

https://torontosun.com/news/national/military-sounding-alarm-over-recruiting-problems-as-canadians-steer-clear With articles like OPs, and this one pointing out recruitment issues within Canada, it doesn't take a genius to put 2 and 2 together. Not only do you get to die for your country, but if you make it back, you can face horrible mental issues, and have a charge against you without your voice being heard.

Why pay for hamburger when you can get prime rib for free? With so much free porn, who would pay for OF?

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I'm expected to be judge, jury and executioner. It's why I gave up on OLD and decided to be single. If I meet someone and they are interested, I might go after it. But if I stay single for the next 50 years so be it. If women won't settle, why should men. Being single had it's perks. Might as well use them to their full advantage.

It's unfortunate that such ignorance exists. It's ultimately what scares me away from ever getting into a relationship again. Who knows how the courts may rule on such a case and myself not being able to afford a proper defence. In a world where all this information is widely available at our fingertips, a simple bit of research would prove enlightening for this woman.

I agree. It's a mad world. What if both parties are drunk, consent while drunk, and later one regrets it and makes a big scene. That's not rape, but society has deemed it so. Rape is not okay. But being a drunk female at a club, I won't say your asking for it, but use some common sense. Why put yourself in such a situation that will increase your odds. Same goes for a man. Picking up drunk women can potentially lead to disastrous results, even if you are in the right. I'd say same commen sense a…

There's something about a crying woman that makes her side believable. I remember I found my ex cheated on me and I told her to get out of my house. But she sat and cried the whole time. Eventually I broke down and let her stay and we reconciled. In a few days it was over but I wondered why I gave in just because she was crying. When I told my dad about it he said it's like a defence mechanism to guilt trip men into thinking they have done wrong, when in fact it's the complete opposite.

I had an ex that pulled that card on me after I broke up with her. I was living with my parents and we started getting phone calls saying how shitty I was to her for her to think like that. She never did it but thankfully my parents were on my side saying how much of a piece of shit she was to play me like that. It was after that I said no more to relationships. All it takes is 1 bad move and your done.

I remember when I broke up with my last ex 5 years ago. 2 years after breaking up I landed my career job and started making alot of money. Somehow she found out and texted me saying how horrible her current BF was and didn't take care of her kid, etc. Funny how she didn't want me then but all of a sudden I make money and she wants me back. I think then that's when I realized that I don't want a relationship ever again because I fear no women will see me for me, just my income. But good on you fo…

I had about 4 relationships in the past and the longest was maybe 7 months. I broke all 4 off because around the 5 month period the idea of marriage always came up and I cut it off then. After the 4th I just gave up on relationships altogether because of being tired of being asked to marry so fast.
