So long as it does not devolve into bigotry and tribalism (such things would, ironically, make it a more direct equivalent to feminism, but I digress) I would gladly support this masculinist movement, for what little my support is worth. Egalitarianism + pride in ourselves and our identity, one couldn't possibly ask for a worthier cause.

Misandrists are the core of the movement, not the fringe. If you separated misandry from it, you would be left with almost nothing. The democrats adopting a genuinely egalitarian party platform would be a very welcome change, I'm just not holding my breath for it literally ever happening.

Even ignoring how the "healthy masculinity" they push is essentially just self-flagellating subservience with no real incentive besides fear of ostracism if they don't comply (it's literally always exclusively been about how masculinity can be reformed to benefit women specifically - and never actually about men's own self-improvement for their own sake), this wonderful post does an excellent breakdown of the many other ways the movement has harmed and continues to harm us. Sad as this may sound, I'd much rather keep it that way. To be relied upon would be exhausting for me, and though I feel guilty for being a burden to others it is better that I stay this way than have them suffer the consequences when I inevitably break under pressure like I always do.

Recently had a similar experience myself. I don't know of any communities that are (allegedly) for us that aren't like this, and it has left something of a void in my soul because there is nowhere else to go for me, but it is infinitely better for my mental health that I cut them off. It's to the point that I'm almost ashamed of being autistic simply due to association (not quite there yet, at least?), but I have neither the mental energy nor fortitude to deal with their reprehensible, hateful d…

If it's so easy to find, then it logically follows that it should be practically effortless for you to find even one (1) singular example of it to cite. The burden of proof is on you, not whoever you're accusing.

"Well of course I know him, he's me" In all seriousness, it's less stressful, less time-constraining, carries significantly fewer risks, and how it can be customized to one's liking. I'm not gonna judge someone for taking the safer and more convenient option even if it's less than ideal. Even though it's indicative of a serious problem, it's hard to blame them for going down this route. Everyone needs someone to comfort them sometimes, and sometimes this kind of thing is the only reliable way so…
