If you guys go out or talk often, it might come up. Girls are curious and you haven't stated that this won't progress to more. All you have to do in that situation is be truthful, but DO NOT trash talk an ex. It makes you come off as a sleazeball. You don't necessarily have to lie, just downplay it or say something nice about her before hand and say but...(i.e we weren't communicating well).

Since you still want to hang out with her, don't talk about it until it's almost time for her to leave. I'm pretty sure she will be understanding. Most girls are and would rather you tell them up front about the situation then leaving them in the dark and not hearing back from you.

Definitely don't do this. She'll REALLY suspect something is up, which will just cause tension in the relationship. I advise using other forms of communication (i.e calling her or video chats).

Tbh I think you should just talk to her about it. Go on a date that's not too sexual and let her know you think something more can develop between you guys, but aren't sure if you can be apart from her for 8 months. Might even say that you're willing to pick back up if both of you aren't in a relationship when she comes back to the US. Personally, I don't like to be in a long distance relationship especially if there is a time difference between us. However, since she brought it up she might wan…
